Betty aka America Ferrera on ABC’s hit TV show Ugly Betty is rumored to be getting a makeover during the new season, according to Nymag.com’s Daily Intel. Ana Ortiz revealed:

“Someone is daisygoing to take a tweezer to those brows, and I think her hair’s going to change up a little bit. It’s definitely time for her to sort of grow up a little bit.”

She revealed that “the changes are happening gradually” and that late in the season Betty’s braces will be coming off. Ortiz added:

“People are freaking out. There’s a huge sort of battle, half the people are like, get them off! And other people are like, no! It’s Betty! She’s always going to be Betty, but yeah, the braces are gone, the brows are being trimmed, and she’s going to get a little bit more of a swoop.”

Even though I think Betty isn’t ugly as the way she is now, I’m looking forward to seeing the changes. Eventually, everyone’s braces do come off anyway.

If you ever wanted to see Ugly Betty star Vanessa Williams naked, now’s your chance. RadarOnline.com reports that the original photo negatives of Vanessa Williams’ nude pictures that cost her the Miss America crown in 1984 are up for auction on eBay.com.

The auction ends on September 1, 2009 with a starting bid at $200,000.

I bet they’re great pictures - it’ll be interesting to see how much the negatives sell for!

Jamie Lyn Sigler is reportedly joining the cast of Ugly Betty, according to Radaronline.com. Sigler is set to be Daniel Mead’s new assistant, taking on Betty’s old job since Betty aka real name America Ferrera was promoted to Features Editor.

EW reports that Sigler “will debut on the show’s season premiere this October.”

I wonder if Sigler will bring any of her mafia princess habits with her to the show. Can’t wait to see the new season!

I’m thrilled to say Ugly Betty is returning on April 30 after being bumped for a few weeks! People.com reports Betty’s favorite accountant/ ex-boyfriend Henry is coming back too for the season finale. A source also confirmed the hit show was picked up for a fourth season. Yay!

Back to Henry, played by Christopher Gorham, it looks like he’s back for good, according to Silvio Horta, Ugly Betty creator. He dishes:

“As Henry and Betty reconnect, it could potentially threaten her relationship with Matt.”

Horta also added:

“Chris has always been and always will be part of the Ugly Betty family.”

Aw, just when I had hope for Betty to move on with her life! I’m looking forward to Thursday’s show though.

This is very upsetting news…

ABC has announced that the network is taking Ugly Betty off the Thursday night lineup starting March 26, according to OK! magazine. EW.com reports ABC will be replacing Ugly Betty with Samantha Who? and In the Motherhood.

The network released a statement that says:

“Ugly Betty will return to Thursday nights at 8 p.m. following the run of In the Motherhood and Samantha Who?.”

ABC rep says:

“The Thursday night block is a good opportunity to launch these comedies. Betty is a solid performer and there is no question that it will definitely be back to complete its season, just without repeats.”

However, the network has not mentioned when Ugly Betty will be back. How sad! I can’t believe they’re bumping a hit show even if its ratings had slipped a little bit.
