Hollywood couple Scarlett Johansson and her hot hubby Ryan Reynolds don’t talk about work with each other and consider it a way to help make their relationship work. Ryan said:

“We don’t have a lot of work talk around the house. We both prefer to just be ourselves at home. There’s no competition between us - we just don’t talk about it.”

It’s great that they’re not competing with each other because Scarlett is way ahead of him in her career, but what about being able to vent to each other when things are going awful on the set or share some funny or exciting moments? It’s called supporting one another! Oh well, good luck to them.

Penelope Cruz is passing the torch to Scarlett Johansson, who will become the face of Spanish fashion brand Mango for their Fall/Winter 2009 campaign.

Mango told WWD “she has an extraordinary personality, fun, [and] young,” and that “She’s Mango’s ideal urban woman, independent and cosmopolitan.”

I love this look on Scarlett, the short shaggy blond hair is super-sexy. Then again when does she not look sexy?

Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly annoyed by Scarlett Johansson. The actresses are starring in the next Iron Man 2 and Gwyneth is said to be quite frustrated with ScarJo. A source dished to The Sun:

“Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett.

They come from different worlds and have completely different styles.

Gwyneth was looking forward to working with Emily Blunt, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett.

Gwyneth’s had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding of the attention of the crew. It’s not a happy set.”

It sounds like Gwyneth is a little jealous - ScarJo is probably liked more on the set. Ouch!

The movie is set to be out May 2010.

Sandra Bullock was able to see the naked goods of Scarlett Johansson’s hubby Ryan Reynolds, but she wasn’t too impressed, according to FemaleFirst. Apparently, Reynolds and Bullock had to bare all for their new movie The Proposal. Bullock dished:

“Ryan’s surgically enhanced, overly tanned and a bit soft around the middle - and the back hair was a bit much to deal with.

I’d put him at a four on a scale of one to 10.”

Bullock had to joke about Ryan’s naked body because her hubby and ScarJo knew she was drooling on set.

Megan Fox makes a dig at actress Scarlett Johansson, pointing out that ScarJo shows off how smart she is, according to Contact Music. Megan told Esquire magazine:

“I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson – who I have nothing against. But I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve ever learned, to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak.’ I don’t want to have to do that. I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard.”

If ScarJo has a high IQ and wants to prove she’s not an airhead, there’s nothing wrong with that. It sounds like Megan’s pretty jealous. Megan should also know it’s not PC to use the word “retard” to describe someone who isn’t smart.

It’s been Scarlett Johansson’s dream to become a director, she’s even stated she’d rather be directing movies than acting in them. But this is one dream that may never come true, she directed a segment for the upcoming movie New York, I Love You, a series of intertwined love stories staring Kevin Bacon which was deemed ”unwatchable.”

“It was really bad, so it was cut,” one insider told Page Six.

The movie’s producer is saying the movie was cut because it didn’t fit in with the other movies, a nice way of saying it sucked when compared to the others. Maybe she should stick to acting.

Scarlet Johansson looks amazing in the February issue of Bazaar and in an interview with the magazine she talks about her dream role and not being surprised when Ryan Reynolds proposed.

When asked what her ideal role would be, she replied:

“Every actor wants to work on a Western. I would run a brothel, like a madam or something. I’m working with what I’ve got. It’s only so long that people are going to want to see me in a corset.”

And on Ryan’s proposal:

“I wasn’t surprised that it was happening, but anyone being presented with a beautiful diamond ring, as a girl, you just squeal with delight. You say you can’t believe it, but of course you really can. I think all proposals are romantic. It was very down-to-earth and genuine. There was no crazy skywriting or anything like that, just nice words, and it was very sweet.”

Simple, sweet, and I’m sure exaclty the way she planned it. I feel as if Ryan was cheated when he proposed, as if she squealed just for show not because she was ecstatic about him wanting to spend the rest of his life with her.
