DMX missed a court appearance in Arizona today because he was reportedly rushed to a hospital emergency room in South Florida on Sunday for “fear of a stroke” according to a source for TMZ, according to MTV News.

Charles Kozelka, DMX’s attorney confirmed to MTV News on Tuesday that Earl Simmons (rapper’s real name) was ill and couldn’t divulge any specific information yet. He said:

“I don’t know the cause, but I know that he’s still hospitalized and that they’ve admitted him and won’t be releasing him for a couple more days.”

Wow, I hope it really isn’t a stroke - he’s only 37! Stay tuned for more information about his condition - hope the troubled rapper is going to be alright.

Kanye West was reportedly arrested today, September 11, 2008 by L.A.X. police near the American Airlines terminal, a rep for the airport’s public relations office confirmed to MTV News.

Kanye and his bodyguard were both charged with felony vandalism, but his bodyguard was also charged with battery. Apparently, the incident involved a scuffle with paparazzi and both were held in police custody when the news broke.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that when a paparazzo began taking photos of Kanye, he allegedly grabbed the photographer’s camera and threw it to the ground, smashing it and thus was arrested.

What was also reported was that a different paparazzo started taping it which caused Kanye to approach him and demand:

“gimme that f—ing tape.”

It’s not acceptable for photographers to get attacked, but one can empathize with someone when they’re getting harassed.

Rapper DMX was caught on video dropping the F bomb in court after a Miami-Dade judge refused to release him on bond. That was certainly smart of him to do now wasn’t it?

LL Cool J slams President George W. Bush in a new song entitled “Mr. President” for the Iraq war, according to Contact Music. He told the New York Daily News:

“It’s all about what I’d like to ask (him). Tell me how to set that up (a meeting with Bush), and I would be there in a heartbeat.”

The lyrics he raps include:

“Mr President, are you aware
Our flesh and blood is dying over there?
When the coffins come back, do you care?
When only the poor kids die, is it fair?
Don’t get me wrong.
I respect the flag
But it hurts to see a kid in a body bag
He fought for his country with all he had
Now we have a family without a dad.”

“Mr. President: will be released next month on LL Cool J’s final Def Jam album, Exit 13.

Although I’m not a fan of rap, great lyrics LL Cool J! I hope Exit 13 does well.

Jay-Z is reportedly looking into selling his 40/40 club in Las Vegas because the sports bar hasn’t made any profits since opening last year, according to Female First. Shawn Carter (Jay-Z’s real name) launched the Sin City club as part of his 40/40 chain in December 2007, however, MediaTakeOut.com reports that the club’s investors are said to be losing patience with the lack of money rolling in.

In recent months, Jay-Z has had some issues with staff at the New York branch accusing the managers of withholding paychecks.

It sounds like Jay-Z has spread himself too thin with all of his projects, plus being cheap when it comes to employees probably doesn’t help either.

Cassie doesn’t understand the internet rumors about her being pregnant because she has never been pregnant and claims that even her closest friends don’t know about her dating life. Although the hot young singer has been linked to Sean Combs for months now, she wonders who the sources are who are tipping off bloggers and gossips about her are because she insists the stories are all fiction. Cassie told Complex magazine:

“I’ve been pregnant three times by way of bloggers. I’ve never been pregnant in my life. (And) anything that happens in my personal life is personal. I never actually put anything out there. Nobody’s really known who I’ve dated.”

Cassie also adds that she and Diddy aren’t dating:

“I’m not in a relationship right now, but I’m 22. I’m dating people.”

I bet she’s dating Diddy, but wants to keep things on the low-down. But if she is dating, good for her - she’s young and hot and should be out there having a good time.
