Apparently Oprah can’t compete with the media attention Angelina Jolie gets, and that’s why she’s number 2 this year on Forbes 100 most powerful celebrities list.

Jolie worked her way up to the number one spot by earning a cool $27 million in the past 12 months thanks to her movies Kung Fu Panda, Wanted, and the upcoming Salt. She also has managed, much to our annoyance, to stay in the spot light since giving birth to twins, and her and Brad are constantly in the headlines. Oprah never had a chance!

For the second time in two years Oprah’s girls school in South Africa has been hit by scandal. Several students from the school have been suspended for “inappropriate behaviors” toward fellow classmates that reportedly included sexual misconduct.

“Several students were expelled last week for violating the Leadership Academy’s code of conduct. We consider this to be a confidential school matter,” Spokesperson Lisa Halliday said. “Therefore, we will not confirm any personal information or disclose any details related to these expulsions.”

“It’s disheartening when any student has to be suspended or expelled and it’s a process that involves serious review and consideration,” added Winfrey. 

This is a shame, Oprah’s trying to help these girls and look how they repay her.

Jennifer Aniston is said to be furious at Oprah for refusing to see her movie Marley & Me, which also stars Owen Wilson.

“Oprah lost one of her dogs last year and she says the last thing she wants to do is watch a movie about a tender relationship between a pooch and its owner.

“But to Jennifer this amounts to a cold-hearted rejection and she feels pretty bitter about the whole thing. It’s made her really question their relationship.”

I can’t blame Oprah for not wanting to see this movie, we all know how much she loves her dogs and this would just open old wounds.

Ellen DeGeneres was floored when Oprah Winfrey surprised her with a video telephone call on Friday’s show of The Oprah Winfrey show, saying she was “calling to officially invite you on the cover of O,” according to Yahoo News. Ellen said:

“I can’t believe you’re serious about this. I’m freaking out right now.”

Oprah has been on the cover of her magazine for the last nine years until she shared the cover with First Lady Michelle Obama and now she’ll do it again with Ellen.

That’s great for Ellen! I just might go out and buy this one.

Ivan, a golden retriever, adopted by Oprah Winfrey earlier this month after she adopted his sister Sadie has past away from parvovirus. It appears Sadie is also a very sick puppy suffering from the same illness which causes diarrhea and vomiting.

“I’m saddened by his passing though we only had him for a weekend,” Winfrey tells ET. “I remain hopeful that Sadie will pull through.”

Knowing how much her dogs mean to her we’re wishing the best for little Sadie.

When Opera stops to fill her Bentley convertible up she usually has the serviceman do it for her. Well Opera decided to pump her own gas but couldn’t find the gas tank or work the pump!

“She has gone to the 76 station there for years,” a friend tells Star. “She usually tips the serviceman $100 to fill her up.”

“She had to be shown how to use the pump too.”

She gives gazillionaires everywhere a bad name.

Jennifer Aniston spoke to her good friend Oprah Winfrey about her comments about Angelina Jolie being “uncool” for revealing she and Jen’s ex Brad Pitt fell in love on the set of the Mr. & Mrs. Smith movie in the December issue of Vogue, according to Contact Music.

On the Oprah show, she admitted she finally opened up about Angie because she wanted to be honest about her feelings. When Oprah asked her on the show (due to be aired today, Thursday, November 13, 2008) Jen explained:

“I basically just answered it (Jolie question) as honestly as I could.”

Interestingly enough, she only has praise for her ex-husband:

“He’s done some amazing things in the last couple of years. So I just think he’s doing great.”

Maybe all of this honesty will help Jen finally move on with her life. It’s about time.
