Nicole Richie has become so ill she’s checked into a hospital for treatment.

“Nicole has checked herself into Cedars-Sinai where she is being treated for pneumonia,” her rep tells E! News in a statement. “She is doing well.”

I feel for her, last week she missed a celebration for the launch of her House of Harlow jewelry line at Bebe and Sunday she took to her Twitter page to write about how she was tired of spending time in bed:

“OK cold, it’s been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously & keep it moving,” she Twittered.

We wish her a speedy recovery!

While testifying against members of the paparazzi, who caused her to get into a car accident, on Monday trying to get a restraining order Nicole Richie’s lawyer referred to Joel Madden as her husband. Afterward the lawyer tried explaining himself by saying Richie and Madden have a “common-law” marriage.

As of yet there doesn’t seem to be any marriage license on file in L.A. county and a source close to the couple told E! the lawyer just misspoke and are not in any way married. I bet they got hitched in another state and her lawyer let it slip out in the court room.

Rumor has it that Nicole Richie has secretly married her long-time boyfriend and baby daddy Joel Madden, according to RadarOnline.com. A source dished that Nicole and Joel got a marriage license last week and were secretly married on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.

If it’s true, congrats to them and their two kiddies: Harlow and Sparrow!

Nicole Richie was taken to the hospital after members of the paparazzi crashed into the back of her vehicle.

“Ms. Richie was driving with a passenger around 2 p.m. when she was struck by two photographers driving in one vehicle behind her,” said Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police. “She complained of pain, and her passenger is transporting her to a local hospital. Her car sustained moderate damage. No paramedics were called to the scene.”

The driver of the car that struck hers was placed under arrest after he could not produce a valid license for the police, and another member of the paparazzi who was also in the car at the time was ticketed for being involved in the crash.

Good, they both deserve what they got for driving so recklessly. We hope Nicole is ok and wish her a speedy recovery from any injuries she may have suffered.

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed their son, Sparrow James Madden, into the world early Wednesday morning. Little Sparrow weighed in at 7lbs 14 ozs.

“Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes.” was posted on Nicole’s website.

Nicole reportedly checked into the hospital over the weekend, giving birth a few days later. Congrats to the Richie/Madden family on the new addition to the family.
