While Joel Madden was out partying with Mischa Barton and sharing a ride home together after a MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in L.A., Nicole Richie was at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2009 for DKNY in New York City.
So, while Nicole’s in New York City and Joel’s in L.A., where’s baby Harlow?

They’re all probably just friends and Nicole’s cool about it right?
Below is a video of Hollywood TV caught of them heading home. All three were involved Friday’s Stand Up to Cancer telethon so maybe Nicole just had somewhere else to be - maybe taking care of Harlow?

“Right now we’re really happy, and we’re concentrating on our family, and that’s what is making us happy right now. We’re moving at our own pace.”
Good for them! They can always get married in the future. No need to rush things up. After all, most Hollywood couples break up soon after getting married.
Nicole Richie looks amazing on the cover of the June 2008 issue of Harper’s Bazaar which is out on May 20. Here are some of the highlights, Nicole dished out:
On putting Harlow on the cover of People magazine:
“The day before it came out, I was nervous, because there was going to be a picture of my daughter everywhere. But if I didn’t put a picture out, it would have been 10 times worse. I wanted to stop people trying to get pictures of her. I was just being a protective mom.”
On her celebrity BFFs:
“I feel like my group of five to ten friends, they really love [Harlow], like she’s theirs … my friends never go outside for smoke breaks anymore, they don’t curse, they are definitely more demure. It’s actually been really interesting.”
On her future nuptials and having more kids:
“One day, yeah -not tomorrow, not today. We are committed to our family. I’m 26. I’ve definitely had a very eventful year. So right now, it’s about me enjoying my time with my daughter. I want five children: twin boys and three girls. I’ve wanted that since I was a little girl.”
I’m sure it didn’t hurt one bit to get paid for the exclusive photos of Harlow either. What a great picture of her and her baby though. I wonder if she still considers Paris one of her BFFs after Paris seems to want the same life for herself and has started to copy her. She’s probably more annoyed with her than anything these days.

“Paris is doing it all for attention, as usual. It’s a publicity stunt, just like everything else.”
Maybe they can also film it as the last chapter of their reality show “The Simple Life - Not So Simple Life After All! “

He also failed to mention his fiance and mother of his child Nicole Richie. Poor Nicole was watching the show from the side of the stage at Queen’s College on Wednesday in New York.
He said:
“You know, no matter how many beautiful girls there are in this audience, I must confess that three months ago, I had a little baby girl, and she’s my one and only true love”.
Interestingly enough, he pointed out Harlow’s great taste in music.
“Before I left on tour… I used to sing songs to (Harlow) every day. And there’s a band she really likes, it’s called The Cure. Big Cure fan.”
It’s sweet how he loves his baby so much, but to not even mention Nicole - ouch! I guess he’s a proud papa, but not so much a proud boyfriend/fiance.
