It’s over between Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo, according to Usmagazine.com. This break-up might not get the attention that Jon and Kate Gosselin have been getting, but it was pretty clear that Vanessa had hoped to marry Nick. A source told Us:

“It was an amicable break-up. They walk away from it still friends.”

Another source added:

“They still care about each other very much. This is what’s best for both of them.”

Of course the sources had to say that they still care for one another and that they’re friends. Yeah right. Vanessa is probably pissed she has wasted her time waiting for him to come around and finally marry her.

We can guess how fast they’ll move on with other people, if they haven’t already.

Vanessa Minnillo still can’t keep the fact she wants to marry Nick Lacey a secret, saying their relationship is still going strong despite rumors of them being on the rocks. Here’s what she told Robin Leach at the Spring Bling party in Las Vegas:

“He would have been here with me, but he had to attend a best friend’s 40th birthday party,” she says. “So, once again, it looks as if I’m always the bridesmaid but never the bride.”

“However, this romance is still going strong. There will always be rumblings and rumors that we’ve broken up, but in fact, it’s very much still on — and it keeps on getting better,” she goes on. “Maybe this will be the one time I wind up the bride instead of the bridesmaid!”

If their romance is getting stronger then she should keep her marriage comments to herself and be patient. Nick is definitely worth the wait!

Now that it seems that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s relationship is rumored to have cooled off after three years, Nick is out playing the field, according to Star magazine. It sounds like he hasn’t really gotten over ex-wife Jessica Simpson as a source dishes he was hitting on Emily Gimmel, reality TV star from Southern Belles, who just happens to resemble Jessica. A source dished:

“She’s a dead ringer for Jessica; I thought Nick’s eyes were going to pop out of his head!

…he was making it clear he was into her. Emily laughed, flipped her hair and flirted up a storm. She was obviously interested too.”

The two were said to have exchanged phone numbers…so it’ll be interesting to see if they start seeing each other. Poor Vanessa seems to have wasted three long years waiting for him to commit.

Rumors of Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey being on the rocks have plagued the couple ever since they began dating in 2006, but this time it just might be true. Vanessa was spotted flirting with a new man during the Armani Exchange watch launch party last week.

“Vanessa was sitting on this dude’s lap for a long, long time. It didn’t seem like they were just friends,” an onlooker tells X17 Online. “They were playfully flirting all night and Nick was nowhere in sight.”

As of yet we have no comment from Vanessa on whether her and Nick have called it quits or if she’s with someone new. I’m betting their over and it’s just a matter of time before they confirm it.

When Nick Lachey and girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo sit down to watch football they usually turn it into a date night.

“I’m a huge sports fan and she’s a huge sports fan across the board, too,” Lachey tells PEOPLE

“In fact, football night often becomes date night, which is a nice combo for me,” says Lachey, who was in Tampa Bay Friday night hosting a kickoff party for his Super Skins Celebrity Golf Tournament, a Super Bowl charity fund-raiser he hosted with NASCAR Sprint Cup champ Jimmie Johnson. “She’s down to hang out and go to the game. So it’s definitely something we agree on.”

I’m glad to see he found someone to share his love of sports with, they make such a cute couple.

E! Online reports Jessica Simpson will have a cover story in the upcoming People magazine that reveals how much in love the new country star is with boyfriend Tony Romo. In the interview, Jessica talks about the sad divorcing Nick Lachey was, how weird it was dating John Mayer, and how perfect Tony Romo is. Yikes!

Jessica revealed:

“I just told him today, ‘You’re the love of my life.’ ”

I wonder if that’s enough to scare off the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.

Jessica even mentions that she changed her email address and phone number to avoid any contact with her exes. Wow, really? She thinks they would want to get in touch with her?
