The Beautiful Life, which stared Mischa Barton, has already been canceled after just two episodes. The CW network pulled the plug on the show after it only received 1.1 million viewers it’s second episode and will fill the timeslot with reruns of the new Melrose Place.

Ouch! That’s got to sting just a little for Mischa who recently had a mental breakdown. Lets hope this doesn’t make her relapse.

In an interview with Time Out New York, Mischa Barton has opened up for the first time about her meltdown, saying it was due to stress and having her wisdom teeth pulled.

“It was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once,” the thesp told the magazine. “The show, travel and then this fairly routine surgery that went wrong—it’s still just healing. But I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn’t take those during work. So it’s been a nightmare.”

“I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed-out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed-out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control,” she added.

When asked if drugs played a part or if it was a total nervous breakdown:

“I don’t know. I don’t know. I had a friend who had a quasi-nervous breakdown, but I’m not sure it’s the same thing. I’m not sure I’m capable of a full-on nervous breakdown, but it was pretty bad. It didn’t last that long. It was more about the pain,” she said. “I have a newfound respect for people who have chronic pain. I started getting migraines.”

Whether she was using drugs or it was a total nervous breakdown, we may never know. But one thing is for sure, she’s looking a lot more heathly and seems happier these days.

Mischa Barton was spotted leaving a hotel in London yesterday and I couldn’t help but notice how thin she’s become. Mischa is set to play a model in the upcoming TV series A Beautiful Life, so maybe she just wanted to look the part.

Mischa Barton has revealed that she and Luke Pritchard have broken up, according to Usmagazine.com. Mischa blogged:

“I’m sure you guys are all going to hear about it soon enough so I just wanted to tell you what is real first — I broke up with Luke when I got to London.

Things just didn’t feel quite right. There was no cheating or anything terrible, the bad just started to outweigh the good and a long distance relationship is never an easy thing to do.”

I’m not sure that too many people cared that they were together in the first place, but wow, that’s great news she’s single, right?

It looks like Mischa Barton may have a new address on TV. The former O.C. actress has revealed she’s in negotiations for a role on the remake of Melrose Place, according to Contact Music.

It’s too bad they have to remake the old shows. Aren’t there any other ideas left for TV? This is sad!

Mischa Barton insists her “girl-on-girl” kiss during Paris Fashion Week doesn’t mean she has switched teams, according to OK! magazine. Mischa apparently wrote on her blog:

“As I’m sure most of you have already seen, I was photographed at my 23rd birthday party engaging in what most of the gossip blogs refer to as a ‘girl-on-girl kiss.’ Well, I just wanted to take this moment to clear the air by saying that the kiss was purely platonic! We were joking around and it was taken out of context.

The anonymous female I was photographed with is actually my close friend Irina. Irina works as a model in Paris and since meeting a few months ago we have been spending a lot of time together. We share a lot of the same interests and I really enjoy her company. I guess you can say she’s become my Paris partner in crime!

So no, I haven’t switched teams. In fact, I have someone else that is keeping me occupied at the moment ;)”

Mischa would be more interesting if she did switch teams, wouldn’t she? I’m not sure anyone cares who that “someone else” is who’s keeping her occupied right now.
