Matt Damon enjoyed gaining weight for his role in his latest movie The Informant, according to Contact Music. Damon put on 30 lbs to play Mark Whitacre and told Entertainment Weekly:

“I definitely got doughy. I started eating like crazy and drinking dark beer. Between meals on set, I’d eat a No. 1 Value Meal at McDonald’s and then Doritos on top of it. It was absolute heaven!

If you put it on, it’s easier to get it back off. I’m just boxing. I figure if you get hit enough times, it will fall off! Now I’m the Sexiest Man Alive’s chunky cousin!”

The Informant should be hitting movie theaters next month. Can’t wait to see “doughy” Matt! I bet he still looks hot with the 30 lbs on.

Matt Damon has confirmed that he’s working on the fourth Bourne movie, according to IMDb. While Matt is said to be remaining “cautious about reprising his physically intense role,” he and the director Paul Greengrass are coming up with an original script for the film. Matt dishes:

“We’re working on it. This time it would be from an original script rather than a book by Robert Ludlum, but the director Paul Greengrass is busy and I am too, so we’ll see what happens.

When I did the first movie I was 29 years old. I am 37 now. After a tough fighting scene, the next day you wake up and feel your body more. That’s just the way it is.”

Oh Matt, you’re way too modest, your body looks just fine to me! Can’t wait for the next Bourne movie!

Matt Damon took some time off from filming The Human Factor to participate in the 109 km Cape Argus bike tour for charity in Cape Town, South Africa. Matt finished the tour in less than 7 hours, even whilst battling against high winds. Wow! I knew he was athletic, but this is impressive!

After hearing that “Joe the Plumber” name-dropped Matt Damon when he was being interviewed about his concern over being taxed more from Barack Obama’s plan, Matt admitted he was thrilled. Usmagazine.com reports Matt told the Associated Press:

“That was a surprise. I hadn’t heard that Joe the Plumber dropped my name. I’m honored to be in the little passion play, to be an extra.”

Matt also said he’s willing to do anything to help the Obama campaign:

“I’ll do telephone interviews or whatever they’ll have me do. I want to sprint to the finish with the millions of us who really have been desperate for this change.”

He also refused to discuss Sarah Palin as he already made his thoughts about her pretty clear and he now wants to stay positive:

“The Obama campaign has decided to focus on the positive, and I should be a bigger man and be able to do that with them.”

I love Matt Damon! He’s too cool. Can’t wait to see the new Bourne movie too.

Matt Damon expressed his concerns about the Senator John McCain’s choice for his vice president, hockey-mom Sarah Palin. The Hollywood actor compares her rise to a “really bad Disney Movie” and shares his fear that she could become President.

He uses the following example, explaining:

“The hockey mom, you know, ‘Oh, I’m just a hockey mom’… and she’s facing down Vladimir Putin… It’s totally absurd… It’s a really terrifying possibility.”

Matt is right - it’s f**king terrifying to think that this woman could become president! Senator John McCain professes to love his country, but how can one explain this terrible decision, especially given the state that the U.S. economy is in right now?

I’m counting down the days for the debates so that Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden can really highlight their plans to get the U.S. back on track. I am hoping people will tune in and vote on issues rather than superficial reasons and emotion such as:

“He’s a war hero. She’s a mom.”

Earlier today Matt Damon and his wife Luciana welcomed their second girl Gia Zavala Damon. His spokesman said: “She is a healthy, beautiful baby girl”. The couple have already one daughter named Isabella.

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana are reportedly expecting their second child together, his rep, Jennifer Allen told E! News. After the couple walked the red carpet at London’s Empire Film Awards on Sunday with Luciana showing off a baby bump, the announcement was released.

Matt is a busy guy as he also has a new Bourne in the works. Can’t wait to see Bourne #4!
