Mark Wahlberg has been with his girlfriend Rhea Durham for eight years and they share three children together, so with a little nudge from daughter Ella Mark has finally decided it’s time to get hitched.

“Ella is very smart,” an insider tells In Touch. “She wanted to know why Dad and Mom weren’t married.”

“It took him a while to get used to the idea of getting married,” says the insider. “But now he can’t wait for them to become man and wife.”

The two will wed in an intimate ceremony in front of about 30 guests at Beverly Hills’ Good Shepherd Catholic Church. The wedding will take place sometime in August.

Congrats to both of them, I bet she’s excited.

This is shocking! Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he plans on moving his family away from Hollywood because he’s concerned about who will be role models for his kids. He and partner Rhea Durham put their Beverly Hills house for sale in September after third child Brendan was born. They’ve hinted they’ll be moving out of the area even though they were said to have bought a $35 million mansion in L.A. Wahlberg explained his priorities:

“We won’t stay there forever but it’s very difficult to raise normal kids in an environment like that. And I was thinking there’s no real role models for girls. You’ve got Britney Spears, you’ve got Paris Hilton; they’re nice enough people but I don’t want my daughter to aspire to be like that. I’m much more concerned with being a good dad and being there for them and teaching them and hopefully helping them avoid some of the mistakes that I’ve made.”

Well let’s hope he doesn’t move to Alaska where the governor there doesn’t believe in sex education in schools. It’s tough to be parents today, even for rich celebrities.

Mark Wahlberg revealed he’s ready to get married to his longtime girlfriend and baby mama Rhea Durham. He told People:

“We’re talking about August.”

With regard to location, he’s a little less certain as to whether or not they would walk down the aisle in his hometown, Boston. He said:

“I don’t know. It will be in the Catholic Church somewhere.”

I hope I’m invited! He probably won’t invite me though because I might be tempted to raise an objection because he’s so hot.

Your new film, The Happening, has some grisly scenes. Did any of them freak you out?

Oh yeah! The scene with builders walking off the scaffolding and hitting the pavement; the one with the lions eating a guy’s arms and the truck scene, where the camera cuts outside the jeep and they floor it into a tree. I wasn’t expecting that.

You were given two years for assault when you were a kid. What would the old Mark think of the new one?

He’d beat the sh*t out of him! He’d knock him down, take his wallet and tell him to go back to wherever he came from!

Are you still mates with any guys from your old neighborhood?

Yeah, the few that are still alive!

Is it true you turned down the chance to be in the Ocean’s films?

Yeah - and it was well worth it! The second one sucked! People tell George Clooney it’s great, but we all know it sucked. I made two bad movies instead - Planet Of The Apes and The Truth About Charlie - but doing that was better than sitting with Brad and George, telling the press how great everybody is! “We were in Europe, George was funny, then we had some wine…” - that’s not for me. I do love those guys, but I had to step out on my own.

You had a successful rap career as Marky Mark. Did you pave the way for Eminem, or undo all the good work the Beastie Boys had done?

Ha ha! I try and look back on it with fondness, but whenever I’m reminded of it, I get really embarrassed. I was watching a show called Sexy People Of The ’90s the other day with my brother. It turned out I was No1, so whenever he calls me now, he says, “Can I speak to the Sexiest Man Of The ’90s please?” I sounded like such a punk back then. I thought I was the coolest guy in the world, but really I was just a jackass! And, no, I don’t fancy going back to music. I’ll leave that to New Kids On The Block!

Not only is he hot, he doesn’t mind being honest. A lot of people in Hollywood wouldn’t dare say that they were glad not to be in a movie with George Clooney and Brad Pitt as well as criticize one of their films. He’s cool, because it’s true, the second one sucked. His girlfriend/baby mama is one lucky lady!

Mark Wahlberg and his longtime girlfriend/baby mama Rhea Durham, who are expecting their third child together in September, are planning to get hitched next summer. He revealed to People:

“She wants to wait until after the baby. We’ve been very fortunate. We’ve waited and worked hard to really strengthen our relationship. We want it right. We’re ready. I’m ready. She’s been ready, but I think you know, we both come from broken homes and we want to succeed.”

With regards to the details, he explained before a screening of his new film The Happening in Boston on Thursday:

“it’s going to be a beautiful occasion. Very intimate.”

Oooh, I’m jealous of Rhea - he’s SO hot! He also seems like such a nice guy too.
