Kylie Minogue has teamed up with The Wiggles to cover Toots & The Maytals ska classic song “Monkey Man.” I’m not a fan of Kylie’s singing, but the video is really cute. It’s also a great cause since all proceeds from the song will be donated to UNICEF so I’m happy to see this rendition. The Wiggles were appointed UNICEF Australia Goodwill Ambassadors in 2008.

However, I prefer The Specials’ cover as seen in the video below:

I absolutely ove The Specials…so much energy on stage! If I were a little kid, I’d be more of a fan of The Wiggles though.

Kylie Minogue admits to using Botox. She told Elle magazine:

“I’m definitely not one of those people who says, ‘You shouldn’t do this.’ Everyone individually can do what they want.

I also think it doesn’t have the stigma that it had when I was growing up. For all time women have wanted to, for the most part, look their best.

It’s just that what we have available to us today is - what it is today. I’m preferring to be a lot more natural these days. I’ve tried Botox, I’ve tried [it] all.”

It’s too bad she feels she needs it. She’s only 40 and doesn’t look like she’s aging yet.

Dannii Minogue has revealed she’s interested in posing nude again for Playboy magazine. She stripped down when she was 23, but at age 36 says she’d consider it if the offer was right. She told New! magazine:

“I did Playboy when it was cool and I shocked myself and many others, but it was liberating at the time. I would I do it again. If the money was right, then sure. Who knows, it might happen this year, too.”

I’m sure Playboy would be thrilled to have her get naked for them again. Maybe she should talk her older sister Kylie Minogue into posing too.

Kylie Minogue scares me sometimes. Kylie revealed she tries to channel her inner Freddie Mercury for her concerts, according to Female First. Apparently she loves how Queen’s frontman was on stage, explaining:

“I’m releasing my inner Freddie Mercury. It’s hard to explain but parts of the show are so over the top. When I sing Your Disco Needs You, it’s a real Freddie moment.”

While I doubt that Queen fans would appreciate Kylie comparing herself to the late legendary rock singer, Freddie would probably have gotten a kick out of her attempting to perform like him. If Kylie sang a little better, the comparison would be a little easier to swallow.

Morrissey reportedly mocked Kylie Minogues’s OBE award while performing at Wireless Festival, according to MTV UK.

Kylie Minogue was given an OBE award for her services to music and entertainment on Thursday, but Morrissey, former Smiths singer sarcastically told concert goers on Friday how “thrilled to death” he was for Kylie. He joked:

“I’m sure you’ll agree, it was completely deserved.”

Kylie shouldn’t take too much offense to his joking though as he’s always been notoriously outspoken. He also slammed President George W. Bush and meat-eaters during his gig.

I bet his show was amazing!

Kylie Minogue insists she’s getting too old for the hotpants now that she’s 40 so she told Easy Living magazine:

“It’s difficult to age with dignity in the pop business, but I’d like to think I’ve managed it so far. But I won’t be wearing hotpants any more!”

She added:

“A while ago I sang I Should Be So Lucky as a romantic torch song on Later… With Jools Holland (U.K. TV show). Jools accompanied me on the piano, and I can imagine working like that.”

So I guess she’s not planning to take after Madonna’s style as she ages.

I’m sure a lot of people will be sad not to see her in those though.

Kylie Minogue has reportedly kicked off the Kylie2008 tour in Paris, France. This is being called “the biggest tour of her career.” Apparently, the show is costing over $20 million to stage and includes 53 dates across Europe, which includes six nights at London’s 02 Arena, ending August 2, 2008.

$20 million to stage? Wow, those dancers, backup singers, and lighting don’t come cheap! Ouch. These tickets must cost a small fortune.
