Kiefer Sutherland who’s been charged with misdemeanor assault for headbutting fashion designer Jack McCollough surrendered himself to police yesterday around 4pm. After he was finger printed and photographed he left the precinct around 6pm with his lawyer, Blair Berk.

He didn’t answer any of the media’s questions, but did wave to the crowd before driving off. Sutherland will be back in court in about a month to face his charges, he could pay a fine of up to $1,000 and face up to a year in jail.

That’s pocket change to him, and I’m sure he’ll get little jail time if any. Celebrity justice!

Kiefer Sutherland will face a third-degreeassault charge for headbutting fashion designer Jack McCollough at a party. Apparently Sutherland lashed out at the designer after he bumped into Brooke Shields and didn’t apologize.

“Kiefer was provoked,” a friend said.

McCollough’s reps are telling a different story saying he was the victim of a violent, unprovoked assault.

“Anyone who knows Jack McCollough knows that he would not hurt a fly.” His reps have stated. “He was the victim of a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault and that the matter is in the hands of the authorities.”

So who should we believe? I just can’t believe he felt the need to headbutt the guy, who does that?

It seems like 24’s next season would be the last and it might not have a happy ending. Here is what Kiefer Sutherland  said:

“I see Jack as a really human figure and there is something innately tragic about people. I think there is no winning.

We’re all going to die. There’s something kind of sad in that, and yet there’s something really beautiful and hopeful.”

As much as I love 24, I see why next season would probably be the last. After all, how many bad days can one person have??

But don’t worry, the producers are hinting that a 24 movie will follow.

Here are few pictures of shirtless Kiefer Sutherland on the beach in Malibu yesterday.  He looks pretty good, doesn’t he? I never thought he looked that great until I saw him on the street in New York City last year. For some reason on TV and in the movies he doesn’t look as good as in real life.

While the seventh season for 24 won’t air until January, 2009, a 24 prequel special is going to air on November 23rd!

The prequel will set the stage for season 7, which is set to premiere in January 2009.

You’ll see Jack’s old ‘pal’ Tony Almeida in the prequel!

Who is excited? Not me, because I’ve never even seen this show, but Jack Bauer aka Kiefer Southerland is pretty hot!

24 seems to be the first big casualty of the Hollywood writers strike. Before the strike 8 new episodes were filmed but since the network has committed to air a full season on consecutive weeks, the new season will only start next year.

That is too bad, I was looking forward seeing Jack Bauer again and now we have to wait for almost a full year.
