Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter doesn’t appreciate the drinking age in the US because he’s still not old enough to party legally, according to Female First. Since he’s living in New York City because he’s doing Equus, he had hoped to be out on the party scene at the clubs and bars.

He was sorely disappointed when he found out that the drinking age is actually 21. Radcliffe told the New York Daily News:

“My first night in New York we all went out and I was like, ‘Yeah let’s do it!” And then I was like, ‘The drinking age is what?’”

Aw, poor guy! He plans to be back to party when he’s of age though.

“It’s okay - I’ll be back in a few years.”

I bet he’s able to get into the clubs anyway and is afraid to brag about it so he won’t get busted.

I’ve heard of people going out and buying an expensive pair of jeans, but $950 is a pretty high price to pay. On Sunday Night, Daniel Radcliffe auctioned off his pair of blue jeans he wore in Equus.  All bids began at $50 but jumped past $700 when he signed them.  In the end, it was two guys fighting over Radcliffe’s who were getting the pants.

…they started the bid at $50, and it kept going up and up and finally looked like it was going to stop at about $700ish but then it kept battling between these two guys and finally one guy was like “IF HE SIGNS THEM I’LL GIVE $800″ and Daniel got really really excited and was like “YES I WILL SIGN THEM!!” and was jumping around on stage!

Talk about some smokin’ jeans. The auction was to raise money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Unless he signed it with his peen, I wouldn’t have paid that much for the jeans. However to his credit, it was all for charity…

Daniel Radcliffe revealed he has a crush on his Equus co-star Lorenzo Pisoni and describes him as “gorgeous.” According to Contact Music, the Harry Potter star even goes as far to say that if he were gay, he wouldn’t hesitate to marry him. Racliffe said:

“We’re getting on very well indeed. I’ve written some really, really deeply sexual things on some of the cards I’ve given him for opening night. But just to wind him up, you know. He’s great. He’s a truly remarkable man. You know, if I was gay or a female I’d, well, just want to marry him. He’s gorgeous, and he’s a really cool bloke as well. He’s great.”

Sounds like someone is almost ready to come out of the closet soon. It’s okay to be gay Daniel!

It has been confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths who recently played at the revival of Equus in London will reprise their work in Broadway, for the American audiences. The revival will open in September 2008.

At the play, Harry Potter had nude scenes were he bared it all!

Radcliffe recently said that having a fake mustache on his recent TV role made him feel like a real man:

“It made me feel very manly but it itched like mad. Unfortunately I couldn’t grow my own in time.”

The guy couldn’t even grow his mustache, I think I will wait few more years before rushing to see him naked on Broadway.

Daniel Radcliffe is trying very hard to move on from his Harry Potter character. He first got naked for his stage role in the play Equus. Then, he said that he likes having sex with groupies. And now he is playing in a TV World War One film, ‘My Boy Jack’ where he trades his school uniform for the rather more mature attire of the Irish Guards. Doesn’t he look funny with the mustache?
