What an embarrassing week for John McCain’s campaign. He lost the debate against Barack Obama on Tuesday, he’s behind in the polls, some of his supporters are showing their true ignorance, and now his running mate Sarah Palin has been accused of abusing her power as Governor of Alaska. Ouch!

According to the AFP,

Investigators found vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her powers as Alaska governor, dealing another blow to Republican John McCain’s struggling White House bid.

In a long-awaited 263-page report released on Friday by Alaska’s Legislative Council, investigator Steve Branchflower said Palin was guilty of violating ethics rules for public officials.

He said Palin had allowed her husband Todd Palin to use the Alaska governor’s office and its resources to pressure officials to fire her former brother-in-law, state trooper Mike Wooten.

It just doesn’t seem to be getting any better for McCain. Poor guy. He wouldn’t be able to run in 4 years either, but I’m actually glad he showed his poor judgment skills by choosing Palin. Isn’t it ironic how the McCain/Palin campaign is running ads to try to suggest that Obama can’t be trusted? This is hypocrisy at its best.

JustJared just posted this document what is believed to be Sarah Palin’s SAT scores. The vice presidential candidate scored 841 out of 1600! Just a reminder, you get 200 points just for writing your name! Maybe she didn’t even get that right.

According to this document the breakdown of her score is as follows: 425 verbal, 416 math. Her high school grades were not much better either: English = B, Math = C, Foreign Language = D, Biological Sciences = B, Physical Sciences = C and Social Studies = C.

This is just another example of how unqualified this woman is to be in the White House.

Senator John McCain addressed the crowd in Pennsylvania, calling them “My Fellow Prisoners.” Was this a Freudian slip or is this evidence that he is losing his mind?

Keep in mind if voters elect him as President, Sarah Palin will be stepping right in. You betcha!

I’m not sure this news is true, but reports suggest that Hugh Hefner may be on the verge of bankruptcy. According to the New York Daily News, advisers have recommended that the Playboy founder lay off some staff at his offices in LA and New York or he could face bankruptcy. Ouch!

I wonder if he’ll have to let some of the Playboy bunnies move out soon to save on cost of expenses. Stay tuned.

Katie Couric had an exclusive interview with John McCain’s running mate Sarah Palin. In the video above, Katie questions the vice presidential nominee about the economy. Palin’s responses are very telling about how prepared she is to take office. Katie isn’t really going after her either, she’s just asking questions and her answers are not pretty. Yikes.

Bring the debates on! I hope Joe Biden doesn’t hold back either.

Steven Spielberg and his wife, actress Kate Capshaw have joined Brad Pitt in pledging $100,000 to fight California’s Proposition 8, the discriminatory initiative to ban same-sex marriage. Yay!

According to the L.A. Times, the backers of the initiative have the lead with fundraising close to $18 million whereas those against the ban have only raised $12.4 million. Perhaps after these pledges by Spielberg and Pitt, it’ll stir up some movement from others in Hollywood to help fight against discrimination of gay couples. Let’s hope so!

Yesterday, it was announced that former blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM were in critical condition after their plane crashed in South Carolina on Friday night, September 19, 2008. According to MTV News, they both suffered second- and third-degree burns, but doctors at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia, announced in a press conference this morning that both are expected to make a full recovery.

Shanna Moakler, Barker’s ex-wife reportedly rushed to the hospital to be by his side. Barker suffered burns to his torso and lower body. DJ AM, Nicole Richie’s ex-fiance suffered burns on a portion of his head and arm. Barker and DJ AM are said to be currently in “critical but stable” condition.

To survive a plane crash is pretty damn lucky! Our thoughts and best wishes go out to them in making full recoveries.
