Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested on Saturday after a server at the Le Quotidien bar in terminal 2F at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris refused to serve him another drink. Apparently Meyers was drunk already and then got into a shouting match with the bar’s manager, when another employee tried to separate the two Meyers punched the employee.

Meyers was taken into custody and detained for several hours, and has been ordered to appear in court in a Paris suburb in September on charges of “willful violence, outrage, hitting and threatening death,” a source told the news service.

Meyers is no stranger to getting into drunken scuffles while at the airport, in 2007 he was arrested in Dublin for being drunk and disorderly. I see rehab in his near future!

Daryl Hannah was arrested earlier today when she along with about 30 others blocked traffic on a major highway during a sit-in to protest mountaintop coal mining, which involves blasting the peaks off the mountains to get at the deposits inside.

“It’s not necessary,” Hannah said before she was arrested. “If you do it wisely, there are ways to use renewables. It’s realistic for everybody.”

The group of protesters had planned on marching into the coal processing plant operated by Massey Energy Co, but several hundred coal miners and their supporters blocked them from getting in so they took to the highway instead. Daryl along with the others were all released from custody after being cited for impeding traffic and obstructing an officer.

Daryl who is known for being a longtime environmental activist was also arrested in 2006 when she was protesting the bulldozing of an urban farm in Los Angeles. You go Daryl!

Auther of a health food book, Susan Hassett, is claiming Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s new book includes content that is ”word for word” from her own book, Living With Celiac Disease. Susan says she sent a copy of her book along with a note to Elisabeth after the starlet revealed she suffered from the illness.

“Hasselbeck’s book “slavishly reproduces” lists and passages from her own work and includes inaccuracies about celiac disease that can be “misleading and dangerous” for people with the illness,” said Susan.

That doesn’t sound good, I wonder how much of this is true. I can’t see Elisabeth just putting a book out there without doing her homework first.

Chris Brown didn’t even give Rihanna a chance to tell her side of the story in court today, instead he pleaded guilty to felony assault and was put on 5 years probation. In addition he was ordered to perform 180 hours of community service, to enroll in an anti-domestic violence program, and he must take a probation officer with him when he travels.

The judge also ordered that Brown receive a “complete stay away” order, prohibiting him from coming within 50 yards of Rihanna, except at industry gatherings, when the distance is shortened to 10 yards. Rihanna was warned that she was subject to the order as well and could be in violation if she decided to contact Chris.

Hopefully she didn’t have any intentions on contacting him anyway!

According to KSTU Fox 13 News, David Archuleta’s dad, Jeff Archuleta, was charged with alleged solicitation of a prostitute in January after police raided a message polar in  Midvale, Utah. He was cited with a misdemeanor of soliciting prostitution, pleading no contest and was fined $582.

Of course Jeff’s attorneys are claiming he never had sexual relations and this was his first time at the message polar, which he went to because of back pain.

The California Supreme Court has shot down Chris Brown’s request to postpone Monday’s hearing where it will be decided if there is enough evidence for him to stand trial for allegedly beating Rihanna. Apparently his lawyers were trying to get the hearing delayed in an effort to find more information on the leaked photo of Rihanna, so far he’s come up short in that area as well.

Rihanna is scheduled to appear in court Monday to testify, I hope they find there’s enough evidenct to make him stand trial.

Rihanna is being sued by UCLA professor Christian Moeller because she allowed her guests to trespass onto his property, according to TMZ (via Contact Music).

Unfortunately for Moeller, he lives next door to Rihanna and claims that her friends regularly park or leave their cars on his lawn.

I wonder why he’s suing Rihanna and not the people who have actually left their cars on his property. Rihanna should be telling her friends not to park on his lawn, but she can’t be responsible for everyone else’s actions. Maybe she told them not to dump their cars on his lawn and they chose not to listen…who knows.
