Miss Japan Emiri Miyasaka who is a finalist for the Miss Universe pageant has had to modify her racy outfit after triggering protest because the costume is so short it shows her hot-pink undies, according to the AFP (via Yahoo News).

Apparently, it was originally longer, but the costume’s designer and Japan’s director of the Miss Universe Organization Ines Ligron decided to shorten it. Now Miyasaka will have to cover up a little bit more.

While I can see how the outfit can be offensive to many (especially in Japan) because she’s showing off her undies, she’ll be showing a lot more skin in the swimsuit part of the competition!
