Patrick Swayze’s wife, Lisa Niemi, opened up for the first time since his death at the Women’s Conference 2009 on Tuesday. The discussion took place in Long Beach with an audience of about 14,000 people and was moderated by Maria Shriver.
As sad as it was for her to talk about Patrick, it probably helps to open up about it as well.
Bruce Springsteen canceled his scheduled performance in Kansas City after his cousin was found dead in his hotel room on Monday.
“Lenny Sullivan, Bruce’s cousin and the assistant road manager of the E Street Band for the last ten years, passed away today at the age of 36,” a rep for the musician tells UsMagazine.com. “A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family.”
Sullivan was found dead in the Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City just hours before Bruce and the E Street Band were to take the stage. His death, which does not appear to be suspicious, is still under investigation.

Billy Mays son has given the go ahead to dress as his late father for Halloween. He’s even hosting a contest on his website, Where’s Billy Mays?, asking people to send in photos of themselves dressed like the infomercial king and he’ll give three winners various Billy Mays prizes.
“All I’m trying to do is spread some positivity out there in the world,” he writes. “Couldn’t hurt, could it?”
No I don’t think it could hurt, in fact I think it’s great he’s staying positive about the whole costume thing. I know there will also be a lot of Michael Jackson costumes out there this Halloween, it’s their fans way of showing their appreciation.

Maybe people are just tweeting how they really feel, since the whole Taylor Swift incident at the MTV VMA’s he’s been a little unpopular.

Al Martino has passed away at his home in Philadelphia on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. The singer who famously played Johnny Fontane in The Godfather was 82 years old.
Martino’s hits included: Spanish Eyes, Can’t Help Falling in Love, and Volare, as well as the theme song for The Godfather.
Martino is survived by his wife, Judi, his daughter, Allison, and son, Alfred.

76 year old Hall Of Fame pro wrestler Captain Lou Albano passed away Wednesday morning. No details on the cause of death have been released, but we do know he spent the last days of his life in hospice. His family has denied that he was suffering from cancer.
Many know him from the wrestling ring, but others remember him being in a few of Cyndi Lauper’s videos playing a father-like figure. He also appeared on several TV shows and had a few film roles, including Super Mario.
He’ll be missed, our thoughts go out to his family at this time.

Kandi Burruss, a cast member from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, has been left shocked after her fiance, Ashely Jewell, suddenly dies. Apparently he suffered a fatal injury after getting into a fight.
“It appears he was involved in an altercation in the parking lot and he received a severe blow to the head,” Atlanta Police Lt. Keith Meadows has revealed.
After the altercation he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. Jewell, better known as AJ, made regular appearances on the show, where he and Kandi’s mother did not get along. She never approved of her daughter’s relationship with him.
