Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have made the decision against having children, according to Contact Music. Ellen told AOL Television:

“I don’t think we’re going to have kids. We have animals, and we love them. They don’t talk back, and they don’t explore their vocal chords out in public.

We definitely thought about it… but it’s just a huge responsibility, and I don’t know that that’s something we want to take on. We’re very happily married without children.”

Ellen added:

“(Portia’s) brother and his wife just had a baby girl, who’s a month old now, and it’s fun to be a part of that.”

Ellen’s right - it is a huge responsibility and becoming a parent isn’t something for everyone. I’m sure they’ll be awesome aunt’s to their niece.

Sacha Baron Cohen was in London today at the UK premiere of his movie Bruno, and he didn’t’ disappoint when he showed up dressed in a bear skin hat, a red military waistcoat and tight black shorts.

“I just wanted to do something that was flattering for the royal family. Something that the queen — I’m not talking about Elton John would really appreciate,” said Baron Cohen as Bruno, a gay Austrian fashionista. “You know the British royal family and the Austrians have got a lot in common. We’re still the only people who are proud to wear a swastika.”

I wonder how Sacha’s better half Isla Fisher feels about “Bruno.”

David Letterman had a little fun on his show earlier this week by making jokes about Sarah Palin’s visit to NY, and she’s not happy at all. Here’s what David said during his opening monologue on Tuesday:

“The governor visited Yankee Stadium, sitting in “far, far right field” with Rudy Giuliani. “They had a wonderful time,” he continued. “The toughest part of her visit was keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter.”

The Palin’s then took to their Facebooks to reply:

From Todd Palin: “Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too.”

From Governor Sarah Palin: “Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): ‘Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands – that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.’”

Oh come on, have a sense of humor! What’s even funnier about all this was Letterman’s top 10 list Monday:

“Top Ten Highlights of Sarah Palin’s Trip to New York,” included the following: “Keyed Tina Fey’s car” (No. 7), “Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson’s always talking about” (No. 3), “Bought makeup from Bloomingdale’s to update her ’slutty flight attendant’ look” (No. 2) and “Especially enjoyed not appearing on Letterman” (No. 1).

Legendary Las Vegas entertainer has died at his home today, May 1, 2009 at the age of 52. Gans’ wife found the singer and comedian struggling to breathe on Friday and called emergency services.

TMZ.com reports that Gans had already died by the time paramedics arrived.

Gans was known for being a great musical impressionist and was one of the most popular entertainers in Las Vegas since moving there in 1996.

Casino and Hotel mogul Steve Wynn lead the tributes saying:

“Elaine (his wife) and I and all of us in the company are devastated at the loss of our brilliant, talented and loving friend…. one of the most unique human beings and entertainers in the world has been taken from us in an unexpected moment. A profoundly tragic event that leaves us all sad and speechless.

The loss of Danny, to his wife Julie, his children Amy, Andrew and Emily, is at this moment impossible to comprehend. We will all try to go on with our lives without our dear friend. At this moment it seems almost impossible.”

I’m in shock! I never had the chance to see him perform live, but I watched him on 60 minutes a few years ago and found him amazing. How awful! I wonder what happened. My heart goes out to his wife and his three children.

Jay Leno has been hospitalized “for an undisclosed illness,” according to OK! magazine. He was said to have canceled taping for Thursday night’s Tonight Show. His rep told Access Hollywood:

“He took himself to the hospital because he wasn’t feeling well. A repeat of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno will air tonight.”

Sources claim that the cause for his illness was food poisoning.

Yuck. Hope he feels better soon!

Kristen Bell was attracted to Russell Brand at first when they met at the screen test for the movie, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, according to Contact Music. She explained:

“I did a screen test with Russell before we shot Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I took one look at him and thought, ‘He looks great’. His trousers were tighter than mine and his jewelry was clanking all over the place, but he did his lines and just blew us all away.

I had no idea who he was until I Googled him and saw what a little stinker he is with the ladies. He kept reminding us every 10 minutes of how famous he is in Britain by going, ‘It’s so weird not to be recognized here’.”

However, Brand wasn’t even interested in the Heroes star because he regularly made fun of her appearance. She said:

“He didn’t fancy me at all and in fact went out of his way to tell me how grotesque I was. And I certainly didn’t fancy him because he’s so high-maintenance - he took longer in make-up than I did.”

It sounds like they had an elementary school type crush on each other after making fun of each other and saying not-so-nice things about each other. Watch, these two will hook up sooner or later!
