Former Alias co-star Victor Garber confirmed to Usmagazine.com that Jennifer Garner and hubby Ben Affleck are expecting another baby. When Garber was asked if Jennifer was pregnant, he said:

“Yes, she is.”

A source said:

“She is five months pregnant. They are very happy.”

So Violet is going to be a big sister soon? Great news - Congrats to Jen, Ben, and lil Violet!

Ben Affleck slams celebrities for using charity campaigns to promote themselves, according to Contact Music.

Ben made three trips to Africa over the last eight months for his own humanitarian mission in Africa’s Democratic Republic of Congo.

He claims that many Hollywood celebs just do these things to seek publicity to help further their careers.

Ben described what it was like to meet with war lords and child warriors:

“Here I am, this actor. There’s the potential for one of these cliche actors showing up out of the middle of nowhere in Africa. It’s really critical for me to learn and to understand and not to be some outsider who shows up and says, ‘I know what’s happening and I know what should be done.’ It’s important for me to understand and to learn and to demonstrate humility. And in order to learn - particularly when you’re talking about instability and conflict is one of the critical issues… you have to talk to the people who are involved… It’s a very complex, interesting situation and it warrants exploration.”

The Congo region has been called one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises this century, because conflicts have caused more than four million people to lose their lives.

Ben’s video was shown on Nightline on Thursday, June 26, 2008.

It’s too bad that I missed it. These things are just so upsetting to watch though - it’s just heartbreaking when little kids are shown living in such dire conditions.
