Christina Applegate is one strong woman and I’m not meaning just because she’s a survivor but a survivor that has went forward and told everyone about it. Not many women would come forward and admit to having a double mastectomy, but she did. Not only that, but she did it and then came out into the public eye.

Sunday Night she appeared at the Emmy’s and looked gorgeous. Christina wore a one shoulder silver gown that just made her beauty sparkle. When she made her speech at the Emmy’s she stated:

“There’s so many other things that define you as a woman, so you know, I’m alive and I feel fantastic.”

Course this wasn’t how she ended it either, she was back to her comical self as she joked stating she’d beat her competition in the ratings. (Samantha Who?) Gotta love someone that can be totally serious one minute and be able to laugh right after it. She’s got a true spirit about her. Way to go Christina!

Jeremy Piven wasn’t alone in his feelings about the Emmy Awards. Although he won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy award for his role in The Entourage, he slammed the show because it was confusing to have five hosts: American Idol’s Ryan Seacrest, Project Runway’s Heidi Klum, Dancing With the Stars’ Tom Bergeron, Survivor’s Jeff Probst and Deal or No Deal’s Howie Mandel. OK! magazine said that Jeremy complained backstage to reports:

“It was a celebration of nothing. I was confused.”

I found it confusing too and didn’t find any of the jokes funny. It was pretty lame when Heidi Klum’s suit was stripped off of her too.

This is great news! Crazy comedian Russell Brand has reportedly been invited to host MTV’s VMAs again, according to Virgin Media.

Brand’s controversial jokes caused quite a stir at the awards show as he poked fun at President George W. Bush and urged voters to elect Senator Barack Obama.

MTV probably loved all of the buzz he created. It’ll be interesting to see who his next victims are next year.

The singer of the hit song “I Kissed a Girl” and Disney’s Hannah Montana star Katie Perry and Miley Cyrus posed together when they arrived to the 2008 MTV Music Video Awards in L.A. yesterday, September 7, 2008.

Unfortunately for Katy Perry, it looks like there was no tongue action and Miley didn’t even really kiss her - it was more like a fake air kiss. How B-o-r-i-n-g!
