Miley Cyrus Gets Slammed For Fake Tears at Kids Choice Awards

Miley Cyrus has been slammed for having fake tears at the 2009 Kids Choice Awards. However, FemaleFirst reports Miley denies any faking occurred and insists she was “embarrassed about losing her cool at the ceremony.” Miley tells MTV News:

“I was a little embarrassed… (but) it meant something to me, because it’s from the kids and the kids are more important than anything else in the world. So it made me happy.

Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to win it. It just made my day that I did.”

Aw, how special…Miley was touched!

Milk Producers Canceled Party Before Sean Penn’s Oscar Win

Milk producers really believed they wouldn’t win anything at the Oscar’s so they reportedly canceled a planned after-party, according to Female First. How unfortunate! I bet they were kicking themselves after Sean Penn won the Academy Award for Best Actor!

I still have to see this movie! I am SO glad Sean Penn won - he had such a great message about hate during his speech.

Jennifer Lopez Plans to Flaunt Her Wealth at the Oscars

Jennifer Lopez plans to be dressing up for the Oscars and “won’t be letting the economy depression affect her wardrobe” on Sunday, according to Fametastic. While some Hollywood celebs are mindful of the tough times for many people, JLo told Woman’s Wear Daily “that she could end up getting criticized either way.” JLo boasted:

“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with playing dress up right now.

Who wouldn’t want to wear borrowed dresses and borrowed jewelry?

I think you can get criticized if you’re wearing borrowed dresses now because it’s borrowed, and I think you can get criticized if it’s not because you bought it during the current economy.

So, I say do what makes you happy and wear what you want because the only thing that really matters is if your mother calls you up the next day and says, ‘What were you wearing?’”

What a cop out. She wants to flaunt her bling for the po folks. How nice!

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Plan to Skip the Oscars?

Rumor has it that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are not planning to attend the Oscars, according to OK! magazine. I wonder if they’re feeling embarrassed or pissed that their films Valkyrie and Mad Money didn’t do so well in the box office. A source said they had planned on attending, but something came up and now their “plans changed.”

Boo hoo. The Academy Awards just won’t be the same without them now.
