Anne Hathaway is set to star in the upcoming film and theater productions of Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland. The productions will be based on the 2000 Gerald Clarke-penned biography about Judy Garland.
“We are thrilled to have the brilliantly talented Anne Hathaway portray stage and screen legend Judy Garland. I have worked with Anne on projects in the past and have known her for many years. She will be a true class act in this challenging role,” said Harvey Weinstein, whose Weinstein Co. optioned the rights to Clarke’s book.
I think Anne is the perfect choice for both these roles, she proved what a huge voice she has when she was pulled onstage at the Oscars.

Anne Hathaway has reportedly “vowed to stay away from drugs - after a wild night at college college convinced her illegal substances would swiftly sabotage her career,” according to Contact Music. Anne swears she has a naughty side by saying she often does “terrible things:”
“I do terrible things. I just have very discreet friends. I had an experience at college where I was at a party and people were passing cocaine around, and I looked at it and thought, that’s not a horse I can ride, I’m never going to do that. So I passed the tray along and left the room. Being an actress is hard enough without complicating it with drugs.”
I’d like to know what she considers so “terrible.” Drinking a milkshake? Having shots with friends? Anne would’ve been a great poster girl for Former First Lady’s “Just Say No to Drugs” campaign.

Eva Mendes has reportedly topped the list of the Most Desirable Women of 2009 by AskMen.com, according to Usmagazine.com. Megan Fox came in right after at No.2 on the list of 99 desired women which was decided after 10 million votes.

I’m thinking Anne Hathaway was sure she was going to marry ex boyfriend Raffaelo Follieri and her heart was broken when that idea went down the tubes after he was arrested. Anne says she would very much like to get married, but doesn’t anticipate things before they happen.
“Sometimes I find myself somewhere and I’m just like, ‘Oh, it’d be really fun to get married here,’” Anne told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson. “I really don’t know what that says about me but… I try not to anticipate things before they happen — especially things that I would like very much to have happen.”
Sounds like I was right!

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri claims he is being held in “unspeakably unsanitary” conditions in jail. Female First reports that he requested to move from the Brooklyn jail because his health is suffering after being thrown in the slammer for wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. Follieri “pleaded guilty to cheating investors out of millions of dollars by claiming he could buy discounted Roman Catholic Church property.” Follieri’s attorney sent a letter to a judge to request a move:
“He says that he cannot eat because the food appears to be spoiled and that the toilet and shower facilities are unspeakably unsanitary.
There is excrement in the shower and rats are roaming freely in the area. He says the stench is intolerable.
Clearly, no one should be subjected to these conditions. However, in Mr. Follieri’s case, the unsanitary environment appears to have had a detrimental effect on his health.”
Follieri’s attorney also claims that Follieri is ill with a running fever and blood in his urine.
Although he shouldn’t have expected to be checking into the Four Seasons when he was found guilty of his crimes, the conditions sound horrible. If it’s true, then he shouldn’t be moved - the judge should order that the conditions in the prison be made more sanitary for everyone there and order a doctor to look into his health and maybe give him some antibiotics for his infection.

Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri has reportedly been sentenced to 54 months in prison after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering, according to Female First. Four and a half years doesn’t seem too long considering he plead guilty to 14 counts!
Apparently, the sentence was handed down after a plea deal in which Follieri agreed not to appeal any sentence less than 63 months in prison. Follieri also agreed to give up the $2.44 million he made illegally.
Follieri is actually really lucky he made the deal because he could have possibly received a sentence of 265 years without the deal. I think he got off way too easy!
