Adam Lambert Slams Gene Simmons For Being Obnoxious

Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert has slammed Gene Simmons after Simmons criticized Lambert’s decision to publicly confirm he’s gay, according to Contact Music. Simmons had commented about Adam’s “coming out” soon after American Idol was over, saying:

“He killed his career because now the conversation is not about his talent but about his sexual preference. He’s done.”

In a new Rolling Stone interview, Adam fought back:

“He’s (Simmons) obnoxious, and what a hypocrite - all he talks about is his sex life. He was being a d**k - and he’s not the greatest singer.”

High fives for Adam because Gene was being an ass! There was nothing wrong with Adam confirming what everyone was already speculating, especially because he’s not ashamed of who his is, nor should he be.

Carrie Underwood Moving in with Mike Fisher

Former American Idol Carrie Underwood and her NHL player boyfriend Mike Fisher are reportedly going to move into together after dating one year, according to OK! magazine via Hollyscoop. A source said:

“Mike asked her to move in, and she said yes… She’s on the road a lot and can’t commit fully, but she did clear out space in his closet and stock his kitchen with her favorites.”

Their friends are predicting marriage is around the corner for these two lovebirds:

“They’re completely in love. They’ve talked marriage. Mike’s said it in front of Carrie’s family. They love him and think he’s great.”

It’s nice to see that Carrie found someone she’s so happy with! Congrats and best wishes to the happy couple!

Kris Allen Looks Worn Out

American Idol Kris Allen was performing new songs at the Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints pre-game at Land Shark Stadium in Miami, Florida today, October 25, 2009.

Luckily, I didn’t watch him perform because looking at these pictures of him, he looks worn out. Maybe the current American Idol needs to be given a rest already.

Gabber Quote of the Day

“Mama is sick. Up all night with the flu. I feel terrible. I knew I should’ve gotten the flu shot. Gotta get better… I even had a funny surprise in store for him. Not making it to the party after all. Dr. said no way. I’m bummed (but) I’ll survive.”

~Paula Abdul came up with an excuse to miss her former American Idol co-star/judge Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party.

Kelly Clarkson Calls Kanye West a Tactless A**hole

Kelly Clarkson slammed rapper Kanye West on her blog for taking Taylor Swift’s spotlight away from her:

“What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s**t. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh**ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a**hole ways.”

While I agree with her in that he must have missed something in childhood to be challenged with boundary issues, I don’t think he’s going to cry over the fact that the former American Idol doesn’t approve of his behavior. He definitely should be seeking some therapy for his issues though.

Ellen DeGeneres Replaces Paula Abdul on American Idol as Fourth Judge

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has announced on her show’s website that she’ll the new fourth judge on American Idol. The comedian will join judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi for the ninth season in January, according to the Associated Press.

Oh, I bet Paula Abdul is so pissed at this news because she was probably hoping that American Idol would be a flop without her.

DeGeneres announced to her audience members which is scheduled to air tomorrow, Thursday, September 10, 2009, that she wouldn’t be quitting her talk show, but instead would now have “a day job and a night job.” She joked:

“The times we’re living in, we’re all doing that.”

While DeGeneres has no formal music background, she said:

“Hopefully, I’m the people’s point of view because I’m just like you. I sit at home and I watch it, and I don’t have that technical … I’m not looking at it in a critical way from the producer’s mind. I’m looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person.”

I think Ellen will add some good laughs to the show, but I thought it was Simon Cowell’s job to look at the contestants in the way of who is marketable, etc. I look forward to seeing what Ellen brings to the show though. Again, poor Paula - she’s probably bummed right now…
