American Idol Kris Allen was performing new songs at the Miami Dolphins vs. New Orleans Saints pre-game at Land Shark Stadium in Miami, Florida today, October 25, 2009.

Luckily, I didn’t watch him perform because looking at these pictures of him, he looks worn out. Maybe the current American Idol needs to be given a rest already.

Kelly Clarkson slammed rapper Kanye West on her blog for taking Taylor Swift’s spotlight away from her:

“What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s**t. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty sh**ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, a**hole ways.”

While I agree with her in that he must have missed something in childhood to be challenged with boundary issues, I don’t think he’s going to cry over the fact that the former American Idol doesn’t approve of his behavior. He definitely should be seeking some therapy for his issues though.

Paula Abdul is sharing her feelings on Ellen DeGeneres joining American Idol as a judge. Here’s what she tweeted on her Twitter page:

“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”

We all know in the back of her mind she’s pissed Idol didn’t cave in and give her the money she demanded. Too bad for her!

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has announced on her show’s website that she’ll the new fourth judge on American Idol. The comedian will join judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi for the ninth season in January, according to the Associated Press.

Oh, I bet Paula Abdul is so pissed at this news because she was probably hoping that American Idol would be a flop without her.

DeGeneres announced to her audience members which is scheduled to air tomorrow, Thursday, September 10, 2009, that she wouldn’t be quitting her talk show, but instead would now have “a day job and a night job.” She joked:

“The times we’re living in, we’re all doing that.”

While DeGeneres has no formal music background, she said:

“Hopefully, I’m the people’s point of view because I’m just like you. I sit at home and I watch it, and I don’t have that technical … I’m not looking at it in a critical way from the producer’s mind. I’m looking at it as a person who is going to buy the music and is going to relate to that person.”

I think Ellen will add some good laughs to the show, but I thought it was Simon Cowell’s job to look at the contestants in the way of who is marketable, etc. I look forward to seeing what Ellen brings to the show though. Again, poor Paula - she’s probably bummed right now…

Katy Perry called Simon Cowell an asshole, but it wasn’t intended to be an insult.

“I might become a little bit of a buddy with Simon,” Perry told E!Online Saturday at the Palladium in Hollywood, just before she hit the stage for her show (presented by SoundsofBuzz.com and Coca-Cola), “because whenever I watch that show, as much as he’s an asshole, he’s a very truthful, honest asshole.”

Katy, who will be a guest judge on American Idol next month in LA, says she also wants to be truthful and honest:

“I don’t want to break their hearts, but how many of us know that one person that has been trying and trying, and doing karaoke and little gigs here and there at, like, an open mic. And nobody has told them they can’t sing in pitch—for, like, 15 years,” Perry said. “You’re like, ‘Somebody needs to say something’ and unfortunately, I might be that gal to tell you the truth.”

Sounds like her and Simon will get along just fine. I am liking the idea of different guest judges appearing on the show instead of having to listening to Paula Abdul’s jiberish every week.

Oh yeah and that’s pieces of cake all over her in case anyone’s wondering, I know it looks a little like vomit, but it’s not. Apparently she had a little too much fun with a cake while at W-Hood night club in Hollywood over the weekend.

Former American Idol David Cook, 26, is rumored to be dating Kimberly Johnston, 35, “a busty Atlanta model who travels with him as he tours the country,” according to Page Six. Kimberly and David are said to have been dating since he won American Idol.

Witnesses claim to have seen the couple “canoodling at out-of-the-way places late at night after his concerts.”

His obsessive fans aren’t going to like hearing this news! If David’s happy though - good for him!
