Amy Winehouse is considering revenge on James Bond execs after snubbing her offer to record the theme song for the movie Quantum of Solace, according to Female First. Miss Wino plans to release the song she and Mark Ronson recorded at the same time as the global release of Alicia Keys and Jack White’s single. Amy claims she wants to “prove that they made a big mistake” and told New magazine:

“I do think they could have waited a bit. If they want a worldwide hit I have them all up here (pointing to her beehive). I guess they are going for clean-cut and boring. When I do release mine - and I am tempted to do it on the same day - this would be the bigger hit. If they change their minds I’m waiting!”

Wouldn’t that suck for Amy if they release it at the same time and her song bombs by slow sales or gets very little air-time? It’ll be great fun to watch if she does it.

The search for the singers to do the theme song for the next James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace is over as Alicia Keys and Jack White, best known for being the frontman for White Stripes, are reportedly teaming up do “Another Way to Die,” according to Wired. This will be the first-ever duet to kick off a Bond movie. Keys is said to be joining White on vocals, however, he’ll be writing, producing, and playing drums for the single.

Hmmm, what an interesting combination. I’m not sure what to think about this.

Alicia Keys is reportedly trying to find a backup singer via Myspace, according to NME. While she’s currently promoting her new album “As I Am,” she’ll be auditioning contestants through videos uploaded to her Myspace page. Contestants between the ages 21 and 30 are requested to submit a 30 second or longer video of an a capella version of Alicia Keys song. However, in order to qualify, the press release states that contestants mus possess a valid passport and must be physically fit and able to dance.

The deadline for submissions is May 5 and a winner will be selected around May 15. The lucky winner will get the opportunity to tour with her worldwide.

Wow, so get your videos ready. I wonder if Danny Noriega, one of the American Idol rejects, will submit one of his funny videos - he’d be perfect for her tour.

Alicia Keys will reportedly get married to her music producer boyfriend Kerry ‘Krucial’ Brothers in New York this summer. According to Star magazine, the lovebirds have booked Oheka Castle on Long Island for a wedding on July 4th.

Although they’ve never spoken about their relationship, they’ve been writing songs together for years and own the production company KrucialKeys and New York’s Oven Recording Studios. Keys rep hasn’t confirmed or denied the wedding plans.

Well, good for her. I wonder if she’s hopeful that the gay rumors will stop after she gets hitched. It didn’t seem to work for Whitney Houston though.

Alicia Keys told Blender magazine that she recorded her most sexual song so far. She said:

“I’m discovering my sexual side. I recorded this song … it’s so sensual, it moves you.”

Her manager even warned:

“We do not record songs like this!”

Alicia revealed an emotional breakdown she experienced after her fame grew quickly:

“I was hanging off the edge of a cliff. Something had to give, or I was gonna lose my mind.”

Her manager described the result of her depression as “dark, weird” music.

Apparently, Alicia said she now wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck “to symbolize strength, power and killing ‘em dead.”

It’s good to know she’s not depressed now and has found her “sexual side” but wearing an AK-47 pendant around her neck is kind of bizarre. I guess this makes her tough.
