Megan Fox Has Dinner With Zac Efron

Megan Fox was spotted at Pace, an upscale restaurant in LA, having dinner with Zac Efron and looks like the two were very friendly with each other.

A fellow diner revealed, “They were very friendly and their faces were close when they talked.”

Megan has admitted she’s obsessed with Efron in the past, I wonder how Vanessa Hudgens feels about this dinner date.

Second Autopsy On David Carradine Rules Out Suicide

David Carradine’s family hired  Dr. Michael Baden of HBO’s “Autopsy” series to perform a second autopsy once his body was returned to the US and he found that David had died of asphyxiation, which rules out suicide.

“The cause of death was asphyxiation, an inability to breathe, now why that happened is still what we’re working on,” Baden told the news service. Dr. Baden said the cause of death meant that suicide was ruled out as a possibility.

“He didn’t die of natural causes, and he didn’t die of suicidal causes from the nature of the ligatures around the body, so that leaves some kind of accidental death,” he said.

Wow, this whole thing just keeps getting more and more strange! David was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room last month.

Jaclyn Smith Regrets Not Reuniting with Farrah Fawcett

Former Charlie’s Angel actress Jaclyn Smith regrets not reuniting for the two planned Charlie’s Angels reunions, according to Contact Music. Jaclyn Smith attended Farrah Fawcett’s funeral in L.A. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, but admitted her regret that she didn’t get a chance to work with the most famous Angel again.

Apparently, there were plans to get the original actresses together again before the release of the second installment of the Charlie’s Angels movie, but it didn’t happen. Jaclyn dished:

“They wanted us to do something that was so embarrassing.”

The three originals: Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett, and Kate Jackson were also set to reunite for a special in 2006, but for whatever reason, it didn’t happen then as well. The actress told TV Guide magazine:

“Now I feel regret - why didn’t we do it? We’d have that forever.”

It’s understandable that Jaclyn is bummed about the missed opportunities. Farrah’s passing was just so sad.

Actor Karl Malden Dies

Actor Karl Malden who starred along with Marlon Brando in The Waterfront and Michael Douglas in The Streets of San Francisco  has passed away at the age of 97 of natural causes. Many of us may remember him telling us not to leave home without an American Express card in a series of 1980s TV commercials.

Malden was known for his tough guy attitude and having a crooked nose, he won a Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as Mitch in 1951’s A Streetcar Named Desire.

Malden also stared in a handful of movies including Baby Doll (1956), Fear Strikes Out (1957), Pollyanna (1960), Birdman of Alcatraz (1962), Gypsy (1962), How the West Was Won (1962), The Cincinnatti Kid (1965) and Patton

He is survived by his wife Nona, and daughters Mila and Cara. Michael Douglas had these kind words to say about the late actor:

“It was Karl more than anyone who got me to understand that an actor is just one part of a whole team that makes a TV series or a movie work. And thanks to him, I learned about the dichotomy of standing alone in a craft where one must collaborate.”

Jane Fonda Shares Mixed Emotions About Michael Jackson Death

Jane Fonda wrote about her mixed emotions about her friend Michael Jackson’s death on her blog:

Like so many people, I have been in a wash of images and feelings about Michael Jackson. I knew him as well as one could know him during the time before he did “The Wiz” and up through “Thriller.” I couldn’t pretend to understand him. There were so many complicated signals. Did he want me to be his ‘older women’ friend. He gravitated to older women. For solace? Succor? A beard? Did he want me to teach him the ropes? I never could quite figure it out. But I remember one day he was visiting me at my ranch north of Santa Barbara. It was the first time he had been in that region but he must have liked it because later he bought his ranch in that same area. Anyway, as we walked around the ranch which was perched right at the edge of the mountain overlooking Goleta, I pointed to a spot where I told him I wanted to be buried. Michael had a melt down right then and there when he heard this. He shrieked and bent over and said “no, no, no!” “ What’s the matter,” I asked. “Don’t ever talk about your dying,” he answered. “Don’t ever think about it.”

I think about death all the time. I rehearse my death. I think that’s a healthy thing to do. Death, after all, is what gives life meaning the way noise gives meaning to silence. Ooooh, I thought to myself, Michael will have a hard time of it as he ages. He will spend all his energy trying to flee what is inevitable. And now it’s happened. I like the fact that it was quick. Massive heart attacks that you don’t recover from are quick. You don’t know what hit you. That’s probably the kindest death for Michael. It’s hard to imagine him being happy as he aged. One more demon to try and evade. I like to think he’s happy now, free of his demons. Free and floating and knowing how his art continues to be revered and celebrated by all of us all over the world. It will continue.

Jane Fonda often says or does controversial things, but I think her comments about the King of Pop are honest and heartfelt. I also hope Michael Jackson is “free of his demons” now and is happy that he’ll be remembered forever.

Joan Jett Makes Kristen Stewart Cry On The Set Of ‘The Runaways’

Joan Jett brought Kristen Stewart to tears after giving her a hard time on the set of The Runaways.

”Joan just wants Kristen to play an authentic version of herself, so she needled her a little bit too much. But she apologized when she realized how upset Kristen got.”

Awwwww poor Kristen, can’t take a little criticism? At least Joan apologized immediately after she realized she’d hurt a fragile Kristen’s feelings.

Farrah Fawcett’s Friends & Family Say Their Last Goodbyes At Her Funeral

Long time love Ryan O’Neal and best friend Alana Stewart were among a handful of family and friends to bid farwell to Farrah Fawcett during her funeral today, which was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels in LA.

Farrah’s son Redmond was able to attend, reading a passage from the Bible (Lamentations 3: 17 - 26). Ryan read the second reading (Wisdom 3: 1- 9). Former Charlie’s Angels costars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson were also spotted entering the entering the ceremony.

The programs handed out at the ceremony included a picture of Farrah on the cover in a sequined dress giving a huge smile to the camera as her signature hair runs curly and free. On the inside of the cover was a quote from the poem At That Hour by James Joyce:

Play on, invisible harps, unto Love,
Whose way in heaven is aglow
At that hour when soft lights come and go,
Soft sweet music in the air above
And in the earth below.
