Kelly Clarkson Self Magazine Cover

Kelly Clarkson appears on the cover of Self magazine this week in a slim down version of herself. In response to the allegations that Kelly Clarkson’s figure was slimmed down for the cover, Self’s editor-in-chief said:

This is art, creativity and collaboration. It’s not, as in a news photograph, journalism. It is, however, meant to inspire women to want to be their best. That is the point…

Did we alter her appearance? Only to make her look her personal best. Did we publish an act of fiction? No. Not unless you think all photos are that.

Funny how they alters pictures to “inspire women” for a magazine called “Self”. How is that inspiring? By making Kelly look thinner they make her look her personal best? Can’t she look her personal best with another 10lbs?

This will probably sell more copies if they did not edit the heck out of her.
