Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs & Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Rake In $42.5 Million Over The Weekend

This weekend at the box office Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs tied with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with both movies raking in $42.5 million. This brings Transformers total earnings to $293 million making it the number one movie of the summer as of yet.

Johnny Depp and Christian Bale’s Public Enemies landed in the number 3 spot this weekend earning $26 million, I’m a little surprised that an animation movie beat Public Enemies, but that seems to be the trend this summer. Disney and Pixar’s Up has earned an outstanding $264 million making it the second top earning movie of the summer.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince hits theaters July 15, it will be interesting to see if Harry Potter and his fellow wizards can knock the Transformers out of the number one spot.
