It all started when Brooke Hogan very blatantly dissed Heidi Montag for no good reason in her latest single Ur Not That Hot. The song begins with a Heidi impersonator leaving a voicemail for Brooke:

“Umm. Hey Brooke, what’s up?” the Heidi-impersonator says. “This is Heidi Montag. I just want to let you know that I’m making a record and that your record … better watch its back. And, if you think that Stack$ is awesome, just wait for Spencer. Bye.”

The single features Brooke’s boyfriend Stack$ and will be on her upcoming album Redemption, which hits shelves next month. Brooke did release a statement via Twitter:

“WHY???? Because I can,” she wrote. “And this is just the tip of the iceberg! I’m so sick of people that use me and my family, people with NO talent calling people out who work harder than them, and just people who have a dumbass attitude to begin with.”

Spencer responded by sending MTV this email:

“Is that the wrestler’s daughter?” he wrote. “If so, Speidi will be praying for her and her family!”

I think it’s great someone finally stepped forward to call Speidi out for what they really are, even if it’s just an attempt to get more attention on her upcoming album.
