Lance Armstrong opened up about his split with Sheryl Crow to author John Wilcockson for the book, Lance, set to be released in July, according to Page Six. Although the couple were engaged in 2005, Lance explains they didn’t want the same things:

“She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella]. Yet we’re up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it.”

He adds:

“Because if somebody wants a child — man, that’s the greatest gift you can give to a woman — so who are you to stand there and say I don’t want one. So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue.

I felt like I wasn’t ready . . . I would have been in the future, but not then.”

However, lucky for his current girlfriend Anna Hansen, he’s ready now as they’re expecting to welcome their baby next month.

I bet Sheryl will wish she could kick him in the balls after reading what he said about their split, especially given the fact that he’s expecting a child now. He should’ve just stayed quiet about Sheryl. I’m glad Sheryl found happiness through adoption - she’s probably better off without Lance anyway.
