American Idol Season 8 Top 13 Review and Predictions

Tonight’s show started out pretty well with Lil Rounds. I couldn’t get over Paula Abdul’s face at first though. It looks like she may have had some Botox injections because her face seemed a little frozen.
Here is the review for the Top 13 Idol Wannabes singing Michael Jackson’s catalog and a prediction of who’ll get the boot tomorrow:
- Lil Rounds - seems very comfortable on the big stage - pretty good performance. Not sure what Simon Cowell meant when he said “a bit of a lazy song choice” - I thought the song choice showed some personality.
- Scott McIntyre - boring song choice…yawn!
- Danny Gokey - awesome! loved the performance - one of the best singers on Idol so far
- Michael Sarver - okay singer, but boring song…seemed so serious
- Jasmine Murray - so predictable! I knew she’d pick “I’ll Be There” - I’ll say it again, she’s lucky she’s pretty and young!
- Kris Allen - okay performance, but nothing spectacular. I agreed with Simon when he said the song didn’t really seem to fit the guitar, because it seemed a little drowned out. I also agreed with Simon’s thoughts on bringing the wife out so early. All the little girls might just choose to vote for another guy now.
- Allison Iraheta - hated the song, but for 16, she can sing pretty well!
- Anoop Desai - so disappointing! I hate to say this, but that was one of the cheesiest performances on Idol yet. Boo for Anoop!
- Jorge Nunez - terrible song choice, nothing original about the performance even though he has a decent voice
- Megan Joy Corkery - corny - she’s lucky she’s pretty! Not sure why she chose that song…
- Adam Lambert - I find his voice SO annoying, but he has great stage presence and seems to be the judges’ fave right now.
- Matt Giraud - beautiful voice. I agree with Kara DioGuardi or Paula (not sure who said it) that he kinda has the Justin Timberlake vibe going on.
- Alexis Grace - sounded like something I could’ve heard at a club or a bar…not great.
Prediction of who’ll be getting the boot tomorrow:
- Anoop Desai
- Jorge Nunez (wish it would be Michael Sarver instead, but I believe Jorge didn’t do himself any favors by doing what he did tonight).

3 babblicious comments:
anoop picked a bad song, but his voice is amazing, no one remembers becasue we havent seen him sing for over 3 wks (1st grp). Danny is my favorite, i actually like too many this season so that could be a problem. And scott’s voice gives me chills everytime he sings! I think Megan or Jorge will go definatly.
omfg those suck adam gunna win
Again, as I try to make my point. It is very transparent that Adam Lambert is purposely
concocted by simon and AI to balance the last two contestants david archuleta and daid cook. Obviously, they could not find
anyone to follow or come close to these
previous contestants for their ratings during
the audition process. They try to find someone who would come close to matching archuletal’s mesmerizing golden hew eyes
that all the girls are crazy about. Then they
make him dye his hair black. If you have not heard yet, adam lambert is a typical blonde haired blue eyed person. There is nothing special about him. He is a fake and a phony
that idol purposely concocted. They make him present himself as a rocker to match cook’s
persona and make him dye his hair black to
try and present an archuleta look. Phony! Phony! Phony! and the people are buying this
Ha, Ha they are so fooled. I thought an american idol should be unique and origianl.
No one can come close to David ARchuleta’s talent or look. He is naturally talented and
beautiful with an honest personality to match. I’m not surprised what the idol people would go to the extreme to do just for ratings. They regret not selecting archuleta as the winner not they have tried to conjure up a phony contestant to make up
for their stupid regretful mistake to the
american people. In millions of people’s minds Archuleta is the only American Idol. He represents the title as it should be. Not
someone with fake black hair and has a bad
history of a gay life style. Would you call this an American mentor to the kids and adults for today. When Archuleta left. Idol died. There will never be a legitamate contestant for an A
true American Idol
