Miley Cyrus Insists She Meant No Harm By Appearing to Make Fun of Asians

Miley Cyrus insists she didn’t mean any harm by making “goofy faces” that looked like she, her boytoy Justin Gaston, and a few others were making fun of Asians, according to Female First.
It seems like Disney’s Hannah Montana star is prone to picture scandals - maybe this is one way for her to stay in the news?
Not surprisingly, the leaked photos pissed off the Asian American community, forcing Miley to apologize:
“I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong (sic) and out of context! “In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face.
When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me.
If that would of (sic) been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘Bad Girl’!”
To her credit, Miley is a teenager so I actually believe she meant no harm, but she wasn’t thinking. A lot of young girls, including Asian girls look up to her so she should be a little more careful not to be taking stupid pictures like this, given her celebrity status and her apparent attraction to controversy with her pictures.
FYI Miley, you may think you were just being goofy, but there is a long history of Asian Americans who were mocked relentlessly for their eye shape. It’s hurtful and unacceptable so refrain from doing it in the future.

If she had restricted herself to making fun of men and encouraging violence toward men, she’d have been fine:
