American Idol and X Factor judge Simon Cowell is reportedly building a mansion that costs about $20 million in Barbados, according to Fametastic. Since he split up from his girlfriend Terri Seymour, he’s said to be creating the ultimate bachelor pad, fully equipped with a home movie theater, swimming pool, and mirrored bedroom walls. A source for the Mirror dished:

“No expense will be spared - it will have installed all the latest gizmos and boys toys.

Cowell has been very specific when it comes to what he wants - and specifically insisted on the mirror panels in the bedrooms.

He thinks they will be hilarious and can’t wait to show them off. Simon says the project is his pride and joy and that he’ll be personally overseeing the whole building process.”

The mansion will have six bedrooms and marbled bathrooms near the island’s Sandy Lane resort. The source added:

“Simon is having a great holiday and is totally in love with the island.

He has got a bit more time on his hands now the X Factor has finished and is looking forward to getting stuck into the building project. He’s sure everyone will love the finished product.”

The mirrored panels in the bedrooms seem to fit his personality.

It sounds like Cowell’s not at all affected by the economic downturn. Lucky him!
