William Balfour Indicted On Three Counts of First Degree Murder
William Balfour, estranged brother-in-law of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson has been indicted on three counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion. Balfour was charged with murdering Hudson’s mother, brother, and seven-year-old nephew in court yesterday, Tuesday, December 30, 2008.
Prosecutors think Balfour was upset with Hudson’s sister, his estranged wife Julia. Apparently he believed she was dating other guys and raged against the family. Hudson’s mother Darnell Donerson, and brother Jason Hudson were found shot to death at Hudson’s mother’s home in South Side Chicago and Hudson’s nephew Julian was found three days later in the trunk of a car.
Balfour insists he’s innocent of all charges.
Let’s hope that after he’s found guilty and put away for the rest of his life Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia can continue to heal from this awful tragedy. It must’ve been so tough this holiday season for them.
