Roger Moore Slams Bond Movies For Becoming Too Violent

Roger Moore believes 007 movies have become “too violent.” Female First reports that the former James Bond star thinks that Quantum of Solace “focuses too much on the character’s dark side.” Moore said:
“I am happy to have done it, but I’m sad that it has turned so violent. That’s keeping up with the times, it’s what cinema-goers seem to want and it’s proved by the box-office figures.”
Moore recently released his memoir about his time as the British spy, My Word is My Bond.
He also revealed that he cringed when he was informed that Bond had to threaten to break Maud Adam’s arm to gain information. He explained:
“That sort of characterization didn’t sit well with me, but the director Guy Hamilton was keen to make Bond more ruthless. I suggested my Bond would have charmed the information out of her by bedding her first. My Bond was a lover and a giggler, but I went along with Guy.”
I agree, Bond is much more violent now, but he’s much more popular too.

Haven’t seen the new movie so I cannot comment yet, but the last one was much closer to the source material. Has this doofus read any of the books?
