Former American Idol Contestant Commits Suicide Outside Paula Abdul’s House
Police have identified the body found outside Paula Abdul’s LA house Tuesday night as Paula Goodspeed who was a contestant on season 5 of American Idol. Goodspeed was one of many to be mocked by the judges when she performed Proud Mary.
Goodspeed was obsessed with Paula and admitted she made “life-sized drawings of Paula” during her audition. Apparently she died of an overdose in her car which had a picture of Paula hanging from the rear view mirror.
“I am deeply saddened and shocked about what transpired yesterday,” Paula told Usmagazine.com in a statement. “My heart and prayers go out to her family.”
Paula was working on Idol at the time and didn’t return home until the scene was cleared. I can’t say I blame her for not wanting to return home until everything was cleared, I would be freaked out.
