Leona Lewis Booed For Not Showing Up
There was a loud booing in the crowd after it was revealed Leona Lewis was not present to pick up her awards for Best Album and Best Video for Bleeding Love at the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards. She did however give an acceptance speach by video for Best Album award.
“Thank you so much. I’m so sorry I can’t be here with you tonight… I’m there in spirit with you all,” she said.
Earlier in the night awards host Mel B had urged the audience: “Stop giving Leona Lewis a hard time you lot. It’s not her fault she can’t be here.”
I don’t know whether that’s just plain funny or if the audience should have acted a little more professional.
