Joaquin Phoenix Quits Acting to Do Music
Is Joaquin Phoenix having a mid-life crisis or something? The Oscar-nominated actor has announced that he’s going to quit acting in order to pursue a music career, according to the Post Chronicle. He was awesome in Walk the Line, the movie about Johnny Cash, but to quit acting? Last night he announced at a benefit for a Paul Newman charity foundation:
“I want to take this opportunity … also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor, I’m not doing films any more.”
What a shame! I hope he comes to his senses soon.
