California Governor Arnold Schwarznegger Encourages Voting No on Prop 8!
I am completely in awe right now! A few prominent California Republicans have come out to encourage voters to vote No on the discriminatory initiative, Proposition 8, which would ban gay marriage, according to Diversity Inc. Former congressman Tom Campbell stated:
“Republicans believe deeply that government should be limited. Government has no business making distinctions between people based on their personal lives. That’s why, as a Californian and a Republican … I will be voting No on Proposition 8.”
Other California Republicans opposing Prop 8 include: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders.
Let’s hope Prop 8 gets defeated in a huge way so that it sends a message to EVERYONE that equal rights should always be considered as the cornerstone of being an American.
