America Ferrera is NOT her Real Name
You probably either know her by Ugly Betty, or even America Ferrera, but that’s NOT her real name. In fact those at home call her, “Georgina.” Star Magazine states it’s her birth name and she began going by “America” back in school.
A former classmate tells Star, “She went by her middle name in school.” Managers made her go back to “America” for her first role, in Real Women Have Curves.
So what is her real name you ask? Georgina America Ferrera. But Hollywood of course loved her middle name better and apparently so did she. I guess it really does matter what name you go by if you want to be successful in Hollywood. Would you have changed your name to your middle name?
