Whether Miley Cyrus was ready to quit Hannah Montana or not, it seems she may actually lose her singing voice. Star Magazine has stated that her parents have announced concern for Miley since they found out that she has a node in her throat.  This is one of those things no singer ever wants to have, especially since it could mean never being able to sing again.

“Her concerned parents took her to the doctor, who diagnosed the beginning stages of a nodule,” says the source. The small, bump-like mound of tissue, also called a node, is caused by continual straining of the voice and can lead to surgery if left untreated.”  

No one knows for sure if this is true or not but it isn’t uncommon for singers to get this, with all her singing and her schedule lately it wouldn’t be a surprise. Her rep so far is denying this but this could be simply because they are afraid of any repercussions. Either way, hopefully if this is the case she’ll take the doctor’s advice and give her voice a rest. If this isn’t the case she may still want to think of slowing down just a tad bit. It’s not like she really needs anymore money.  Not everyone can sing, every night all around the world, even Elvis Presley took some breaks.
