Michael Moore Plans to Release Next Movie Online
Michael Moore has plans to put his new movie Slacker Uprising online free for people to download for three weeks, starting September 23, 2008. The Fahrenheit 9/11 filmmaker wants to get youth in the U.S. excited to vote again. He explained:
“I thought it’d be a nice way to celebrate my 20th year of doing this, and also help get out the vote for November. I’ve been thinking about what I want to do to help with the election this year.”
Apparently Moore’s last movie Sicko was leaked online and downloaded illegally so he’s probably just beating everyone to it. Even though most people who watch his films already know who they’re voting for, I think it’s great he’s going to allow fans to see the movie for free!
If it helps persuade even small numbers of people to get out there and vote, then it’s all worth it. Every vote counts!
