Lauren Conrad to Write Novels
After Lauren Conrad’s failed attempt to do a successful fashion line, the reality TV star of MTV’s The Hills has reportedly signed on to do fiction novels for young adults, according to Star magazine. Uh-oh! I guess she’s not afraid of criticism or failure. She said in a statement issued by publisher Harper Collins:
“I’ve always loved books that I could lose myself in, ones that would transport me to another place, but had characters I could relate to. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to write books like that for other readers.”

The first book in the series will be published in Summer 2009.
