Kim Kardashian Reveals Reason for Dancing with the Stars

Kim Kardashian says she’s using her time on Dancing with the Stars to get in shape before she gets pregnant. OK! magazine features a new interview with Kim in their new issue. Here are some of the highlights:

Why did you do DWTS?

I wanted to challenge myself. When they asked me to do it, I was honored. I was definitely really nervous about it, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Do you have any experience dancing?

I’m the girl who’s too shy to dance in a nightclub — maybe for one song, and then that’s it.

How’s training going?

We are going on week five. It’s going really well. I have an amazing partner, Mark Ballas, and it just couldn’t be better.

Have you seen any results yet?

I’ve lost a few pounds — nothing too crazy yet, but I heard that you really start to lose weight when the show starts.

What is your fitness goal with DWTS?

I really want to be toned. Every girl has her insecurities, whether she is skinny or not. You want to look good when you’re on vacation in a swimsuit.

Do you want to lose your famous curves?

No, not at all. I don’t even think that’s really possible. I’m going to probably have kids soon, so I want to have the perfect body before then. It’ll be harder to get in shape afterward, so why not do it now.

I only watched a few minutes of Dancing with the Stars last night. Kim’s right, her partner Mark Ballas is amazing! Well, he won last season with Kristi Yamaguchi. It’s doubtful she’ll be in the finals with him, but at least she has the guts to try this out. Kudos to her for her effort.
