Dave Grohl Saved By Security During Austin City Limits Music Festival

Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters’ frontman was saved by security during an onstage attack at the Austin City Limits music festival on Sunday night. According to Female First, security had to wrestle a fan to the ground who had climbed up onto the stage and ran towards Grohl.
Although Grohl looked startled, he played it cool, telling the audience:
“He’s just a drunken college dork. I’ve been there.”
Fortunately, the band had better security than Oasis did during the Toronto Virgin Festival where Noel Gallagher was injured after being attacked.

It was no attack. I went up there to shake a hand and give a drunken holler - both objectives were achieved before security FINALLY got their stuff together to grab me. It was exciting, untypical for me, and something that has been forgotten by almost everybody but my brother and I (who will remember it forever). Good times! Great fest!
