Beyonce Proudly Supports Barack Obama
It’s no surprise that the Hollywood stars are coming out in support of Senator Barack Obama’s candidacy for president, but it’s exciting to see that they can drum up a lot of excitement among the young adults, particularly 18-25.
Contact Music reported that Beyonce Knowles stepped out in support of Obama for president, stating she’s proud to see a black candidate running for the White House and by wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Obama’s face.
Beyonce explained:
“I’m really proud. I think we’re making a lot of progress. It’s an exciting time for my generation, regardless of whether you’re African-American or not. The level of excitement, I’ve never seen anything like it. We all feel part of our country now.”
I’m glad she points out that it’s an exciting time regardless of race. This is a critical time for the American people so I’m hoping voter turnout will be record-high and that people vote based on the issues that are important to them.
