Mary-Kate Olsen Wants Immunity in Heath Ledger Investigation

Mary-Kate Olsen’s lawyer, Michael C. Miller has reportedly declined requests from the Drug Enforcement Administration twice to speak to her with regards to the investigation into Heath Ledger’s death, claiming she has had nothing to do with the drugs, according to the Telegraph. A law enforcement official said Olsen would not answer questions without immunity from any prosecution which could follow. Miller said:
“We have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed.’’
The Full House star was a close friend of Heath Ledger and was said to be the first person called by a masseuse who found Ledger’s body in his New York apartment. Police are ready to subpoena Olsen to appear before a grand jury if negotiations with her attorney fail.
It sounds like she has something to hide if she’s refusing to talk to investigators. Stay tuned because this could get interesting.
