Madonna Left Disappointed at 50th Birthday Party
Madonna was reportedly disappointed at her 50th birthday celebrations on Saturday, August 16, 2008 when several of her guests didn’t show, according to Contact Music.
The Material Girl had a lavish party at Volstead nightclub in London’s West End which was attended by many family members and friends, but Madonna was said to be upset about the people who failed to turn up. She allegedly told guests:
“I’m really disappointed. There are a lot of people who are not here tonight, but thanks to everyone who did make it.”
Things couldn’t have been too bad for Madge though as her daughter played a song from Fame on the piano and hubby Guy Ritchie gave her $500,000 worth of jewelry.
It sucks that some people she was expecting were no-shows, but that happens to everyone from time-to-time - it didn’t have to dampen the celebrations.
