Jon Voight Responds to Rosanne Barr’s Attack

Jon Voight decided to respond to Roseanne’s scathing attack on Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Angie’s father, Jon Voight via Extra:

It sounds like it’s war now! Don’t you just love how he says:

“My allegiance to Senator McCain becomes stronger with any assault that tries to deter my loyalty to him. I can only pray that good people see her for what she is (sick of mind).”

The first part sounds like he’s brain-washed a bit, doesn’t it? Yikes - scary!

Blind allegiance is always bad (whether for right or left).

He probably supports Bush/McCain because he intends to give the ultra rich a huge tax break, where as Obamas plan gives all of the tax breaks to the middle class. You can never underestimate greed.

Anyone who care what either of these fools think should not be allowed to vote!

Woot.. Another idiot willing to ride a non-working plan into the ground. Jon, you should run for president, you certainly couldnt screw it up worse than King Dubya.
Lastly, I respect your willingness to stand up and declare yourself an idiot proudly, instead of falsely claiming to have the sense god gave a rock.

Well look further into the comparisons of socialism (communism) to Obama’s politics and see why many reasonable people who are not supper rich and a proud member of the middle class will be voting for McCain. Some day you should actually be more well informed and wonder where the money for all the ideas Obama has will come from. Enjoy all the “tax breaks” we will see if he is elected president.

It baffles me how people whining of “socialism” actually think that is really what’s wrong with this country.

Democrats and Republicans both have their socialist tendencies. A fully Republican Congress and President passed the biggest socialist act since the New Deal - the new Medicare drug plan. It was socialist. But somehow, amazingly, so-called conservatives don’t have a problem with corporate welfare.

Now, Obama may be vaporware when it comes to being this political messiah. But his view of the world, America’s place in it, is vastly more responsible than McCain.

McCain was a maverick, sorta, now he votes 95% of the time with Bush’s policies. Demonstrated and numerous failed policies. We do not really pay fewer taxes, those in the middle class who do, we’re talking a few hundred bucks a year. Big deal when their grandkids are going to get fucked in the ass paying back the Chinese, Japanese, and the British because we wouldn’t pay for the Iraq war out of pocket. NO, all these stupid war mongers supported war but didn’t want to pay for it. Thanks for taking your kids out to dinner, ordering everything on the menu and then some, then dine and dashing to leave your grandchildren to pay the bill.

Thanks for sending billions of dollars in aid to countries that do not help our security at all. Paying off crooks and supporters of terrorism in Pakistan, and look now what it gets us. Nothing. Wasted money time and again.

And those billions spent on war, corporate welfare, bank and investment bailouts - all of that is way, way, way more than the measly “socialist” programs Obama is asking for.

Domestic spying. Starting wars of aggression. War profiteering. These things are illegal. Laws on the books have been broken and whiny “conservatives” seriously want to bitch about a handful of comparatively cheap social programs Obama has suggested? Piss off! Get real!

I question anyone purporting to be a true conservative supporting the atrocious policies of this administration, and the same policies McCain supports and wants to continue.

No one should bash ANYONE for what candidate they support. Whatever your beliefs are, go with it. Thats what being an American is. You’re free to support who you want and entitled to your own opinions.
This waste of space Roseanne is a nobody and completely useless. To publicly bash a family and attack them because Angelina says she’s not made up her mind of who’s side she’s on? Are you serious? Then she calls out her kids too? That’s just utterly disgusting and hateful and shows what kind of a person she really is. She wished she had a good man like Brad Pitt to wake up to. Aside from all the BS surrounding his divorce, and whether he cheated or not, this man has helped out ALOT of people and given alot also and is commited to alot of charities. Only thing you ever hear about Roseanne are complete rubbish and hateful words… Go to hell woman. Jon Voight sticks to his opinions and is an intelligent person. So that means he’s brainwashed?

It’s amazing how civil political discourse is dead in this country. A polite debate on political topics is seemingly impossible these days. The other side is always demonized as “evil” or “stupid.” By decrying others as “stupid” simply for having a political opinion at odds with your own, you merely expose yourself as “stupid,” as someone incapable of defending your polital ideals rationally, with well-reasoned arguments. I love the irony….

Certainly people shouldn’t bash others for merely having an opinion. When it is a demonstrably misinformed opinion, calling someone on it is perfectly acceptable discourse.

What we have are a bunch of politically correct pussies who want to reduce politics to merely being about opinions, rather than about making good decisions, and being well informed. No instead, what has occurred is it’s merely opinion, not about facts, and yet this country is more divided and hostile toward the other side than since the Civil War. It’s because it’s about “opinions” rather than about facts because so many people on both sides are ignorant of the facts.

People are entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts.

I agree totally with Mr. Voight and he is hardly brainwashed, just the opposite is true of him, Angelina and Brad. He, Angelina, and Brad have the right to support any presidential candidate they choose. This is a free country unless the far left choose to make this a socialist regime that only allows comments from those who hate this wonderful country under the guise of remaining (Politically correct). Roseanne obviously hates this country. What an unthankful pity for her. I will never understand how people who have parents or grandparents who migrated here and people who come here recently from other countries, gain their freedom, prosperity, and sometimes fame can then proceed to try to demolish the very country that gave them that freedom and prosperity. Why live here if you hate this country so much? Read Isaiah 59. It might enlighten more than a few brainwashed leftest.
