Iggy Pop and the Stooges Are Bummed

Iggy Pop and The Stooges are bummed after a truck full of their instruments were stolen after they played at a festival in Montreal, according to Contact Music.

The band’s road manager Eric Fischer told the Detroit Free Press that some of the stolen equipment was “priceless”. Apparently the truck was taken outside the Embassy Suite Hotel in early yesterday morning, August 4, 2008. Among the stolen items were Mike Watt’s Gibson bass guitar which was used while playing in The Minutemen in the 80s. Fischer said:

“That bass would go in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame some day if we could find it. We’re all just gutted.”

Wow that sucks big time! I hope police are able to track the stolen instruments somehow.
