Carla Bruni Retires from Performing Live Music
France’s First Lady Carla Bruni has reportedly stopped performing live music while her husband French president Nicolas Sarkozy is still in office, according to Contact Music.
Apparently, after she married Sarkozy in February, she released an album Comme Si de Rien N’etait (As if Nothing Had Happened) last month which topped the charts in France. Bruni insists she will continue to make new music, but insists she won’t be marketing her songs with any live gigs because it would be in poor taste. She explained:
“It would be sort of obscene. It’s not that I want to use my husband’s power to sell my songs. I just don’t believe that women should drop everything.”
I guess we won’t be seeing her pose nude again then as well. Boo!
