Shakira Vows to Help Free More Hostages in Colombia

Shakira has reportedly vowed to help continue the fight to free hostages held in her native Colombia. She praised the rescue of the 15 people held hostage for six years and insists the fight against terrorism in the country is far from being resolved.
In an open letter to the former hostages, Shakira pledged to fight until all hostages were free, along with other Latin artists: Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bose, Juanes, and Carlos Vives. She wrote:
“We will continue until we see all of them free. Our eyes and lips will not rest until we see and kiss those who remain captives of those without conscience.”
That’s pretty cool.
However, I wonder what she thinks about the conspiracy theory that Senator John McCain knew all about the planned hostage release operation before he went to Colombia and a Swiss radio report has claimed that $20 million USD was paid to FARC to release the hostages, rather than the story of the daring and cunning rescue we have been told about. Hmmm…
