Kevin Costner Invested $20 Million in Swing Vote
Kevin Costner has reportedly put $20 million of his own money into making his new movie Swing Vote, according to Female First. While he doesn’t believe the film will do too well at the box office, he still believes it was worth the investment. He explained:
“It was a movie no one was going to make, and when I tried to figure out how to make it, all the conventional methods just bugged me. I said to my wife, ‘We’re going to finance it,’ and away we went. “Every time I backed my own movies I’ve done really well. The Mummy’ is gonna roll over on us. But I’m OK with what ‘Swing Vote’ is, and I’m confident people will be enjoying this five years from now.”
